O'Reilly Blasts Hollywood's Goebbels

"Give Fox News Channel star Bill O'Reilly credit for even attending Monday night's lefty celeb-glutted premiere of Michael Moore's 'Fahrenheit 9/11' - even if he walked out of the 110-minute Bush-bashing movie halfway through," the New York Daily News said today.

The paper reports that on his radio program last week, O'Reilly compared Moore to the National Socialists' master of deceit: "Joseph Goebbels was the minister of propaganda for the Nazi regime and whose very famous quote was, 'If you tell a lie long enough, it becomes the truth.'"

But when Moore caught O'Reilly escaping the schlockumentary early, "O'Reilly blushed, shook Moore's hand and muttered something about having to 'tape something,' and then slunk off into the night," according to the Daily News.

Apparently the media star didn't miss much. Even though the audience was packed with such usual suspects as Tom Brokaw, felonious Democrat diva Martha Stewart, Mike Myers and New York Times publisher Arthur Sulzberger Jr., the applause afterward lasted only 30 seconds and many people refused to stand, the New York Post reported today.

I watched O'Reilly last night and thats not quite how he left the movie. He said that the movie started 40 minutes late and he had to leave early due to previous plans. However he said that he did meet Moore out front and had a conversation with him and Moore supposedly said he would come on the Factor for a interview. I hope Moore does go on and I hope Bill tears him a new ass....

Imagine that, Moore LIED!!!

Just like he lied about his conversation with Fred Barnes.

He is a serial revisionist.

Oh, crap. I hope Mike Myers doesn't open his trap and force me to boycott him, too.

What's with O'Reilly? At first I thought he was a conservative. Then he did some Bush bashing (or so I thought). Changed my opinion. Followed by showing some support for the Pres. Haven't changed my opinion yet. Now he pulls this stunt. Still haven't changed my opinion but would like to know what side his cookie crumbles on.

O'Reilly is a self proclaimed "Independent". Though I have watched him for years, I believe that I have found him to be more Conservative, than Liberal. However, every once in a while he goes off the deep end and I have to change the channel. But I do respect the way that he goes after people, unlike any other host I have seen. He is like a bull and wont let you "spin" your way out of something. Overall, I like the guy.

Oh yes, he is such a shrinking violet. Always avoiding confrontation.

Lumpy is a play on words for Leni. IIRC, Leni Riefenstahl, was a noted film director of her day. She produced many films for the Hitler/Nazi propoganda machine.

dead, please correct me if I am wrong, but I think I am right...

That's the way he told it, and knowing what little I do about S'Moores, it's probably the truth.

Cheers!

Yes.

Lumpy was Wally's fat loser friend on "Leave it to Beaver" and Leni Reifenstahl was the propaganda filmmaker for the Nazi Party.

Roll them into one, and you have Michael Moore, though his technical skills as a filmmaker are more Lumpy the Leni.

Leni passed within the last 2 years. You are correct.

Most noted for her classic 1934 "Triumph Of The Will".

What a terrible thing to say about Goebbels. He was a far more honorable and decent man than that bloviated flatulant blob of walking vomit.

I hope he has Ann Coulter on at the same time. Wouldn't that be fun to watch?!
