His country passed intelligence to America (Bush) in 2002 regarding Osama bin Laden and Saddam Hussein having a terrorist pact to destroy the USA.

Putin said that Iraq was planning terrorist attacks against America. He didn't say Saddam was doing this with Bin Laden. He didn't address that.

True. Putin did not say Osama bin Laden was "in" on these post 9/11 planned Saddam/Iraqi terrorist attacks. Putin said the Russian intel doesn't establish that. It can't prove Osama's involvement or not in the post 9/11 attack plans.

But pre 9/11, there was wide spread media reporting AND consensus of a Saddam/Osama connection. Regardless of what the media currently says about a Saddam/Osama connection, The New York Times established (but now conveniently forgets) the Saddam/Osama bin Laden thing way back in 1998. Like the Flip-Flopping Senator Kerry, the media now has conveniently forgotten what it said.

Well, I haven't forgotten.

Putin's revelation this week stands on it's own merits as further evidence of Saddam's threat to America's security. In this cartoon, I put well-documented media reported history to this... the history the media chooses now to forget and even rewrite.
