"Just going through the index I was struck by the names that are not listed in there, especially people from the Communist Chinese fund-raising scandal from 1996, people like James Riady (search) and Johnny Chung (search). They're not in the index," said Clinton critic Kristinn Taylor, referring to two businessmen at the center of a 1996 campaign donation scandal.

I saw it discounted in the mall last weekend, before the "official" release blowout. (Oops, pardon my colloquialism ...)

If Riady is not mentioned you can bet Grand Staircase Escalante is not mentioned either, which was, in my view, the most overlooked scandal of the Clinton presidency, a stinky deal whereby Riady and his mainland Chinese partners (mostly Red army officers) managed through Clinton's agency to get a soft coal mine shutdown in Utah, leaving Riady with the world's largest source of soft coal in a mine in Indonesia.

The deal was worth billions for Riady.
