Hillary Clinton to America, "We are going to take things away from you"
SF Gate ^

Posted on 06/29/2004 10:35:11 AM PDT by ArmyBratproud

..."Many of you are well enough off that ... the tax cuts may have helped you," Sen. Clinton said. "We're saying that for America to get back on track, we're probably going to cut that short and not give it to you. We're going to take things away from you on behalf of the common good."

After President Bush is re-elected, it will be the duty and honor of every Republican and supporter to throw this woman to the wolves.

What's amazing about Hillary's statement is that she's actually being honest. And after all these years. What's next? Returning the stuff she swiped from the White House?

Yeah, Hillary is saying the things that FReepers debated on back during the Buchanan/Bush wars. "I'd rather have a Democrat tell us his/her intentions than a Republican doing it sneakily behind my back." (Not that Bush is doing it, of course - except for government spending)

I had to go and read the article.

I couldn't believe even Hillary would actually say this.

Time for the RNC to make an ad using this:

"Many of you are well enough off that ... the tax cuts may have helped you," Sen. Clinton said. "We're saying that for America to get back on track, we're probably going to cut that short and not give it to you. We're going to take things away from you on behalf of the common good."

From the USA Socialist party's website:

"Imagine coming together with others to create a society in which we could live Martin Luther King’s dream. Where a radical Democracy afforded us true liberty and freedom. Where inequality, exploitation, and alienation were obscure. Where people could work to obtain their full potential and work for the common good of all human kind. Where people find value in each other and not material wealth. Where people are supported by social programs and are given equal opportunity. Imagine a country without classes. Without a power structure that holds most of the wealth. Without Capitalism: no greed, no racism, no sexism, no heterosexism, no classism, no poverty, no war. Imagine life as it should be. Join us to fight for what we all truly deserve: DEMOCRATIC SOCIALISM . "

"We must stop thinking of the individual and start thinking about what is best for society." [Hillary Clinton, 1993]

"We can't be so fixated on our desire to preserve the rights of ordinary Americans ..." [President Bill Clinton, 'USA Today' March 11, 1993: Page 2A]

"The main plank in the National Socialist program is to abolish the liberalistic concept of the individual and the Marxist concept of humanity and to substitute for them the folk community, rooted in the soil and bound together by the bond of its common blood." [Adolph Hitler, quoted in Hitler, A Study in Tyranny, by Alan Bullock (Harper Collins, NY)]

There is the great, silent, continuous struggle: the struggle between the State and the Individual; between the State which demands and the individual who attempts to evade such demands. Because the individual, left to himself, unless he be a saint or hero, always refuses to pay taxes, obey laws, or go to war. [Benito Mussolini]

"Comrades! We must abolish the cult of the individual decisively, once and for all." [Nikita Khrushchev , February 25, 1956 20th Congress of the Communist Party]

"All our lives we fought against exalting the individual, against the elevation of the single person, and long ago we were over and done with the business of a hero, and here it comes up again: the glorification of one personality. This is not good at all." [Vladimir Lenin, as quoted in Not by Politics Alone]

Pretty funny for those of us who were sure this argument was settled in 1991.

The problem with that system is of course it rewards the neediest, not the most able. It is completely reversed from reality. The more you need, the more they take away from those who produce.

OUTLAW the IRS and bring on the flat sales tax for all!

Then the whores like hillary and kennedy would actually have to pay taxes themselves - or stop spending their illegally-gotten gains!

Your absolutely right. The RNC must use this in future advertising against Hillary. It's amazing that someone as sleazy and savvy as Hillary could be so careless with her public statements. It's a public admission of socialism.

"We're going to take things away from you on behalf of the common good."

To paraphrase Walter Williams, "You'll know that Ancesthntr is dead when someone else has my guns."

FMCDH, Hitlery, FMCDH. I may, of course, send my ammunition (or, more accurately, the copper-jacketed portions thereof) to Hitlery's Brownshirts via airmail (Remington Express or Springfield Parcel Service have very rapid air delivery services, I believe, and there are many others).

At one point, Clinton stopped the fast-moving line of fans to pose for a photo with 14-year old Thomas Nelson and his 12-year old brother Joseph, who had traveled 50 miles with their father from Petaluma.
"I've never shaken the hand of a president," said Thomas, who added that he had one grandma who couldn't stand Clinton and one who thought he was the best president ever. "Even better than George Washington," said Thomas

His grandmother needs to be checked for senility.
I'd be afraid to shake his hand. I hope the boy had some disinfectant with him.

The common good: illegal immigrants, Indian HB-1 visa people bringing their parents over and getting them foodstamps, unmarried pregnant girls who are encouraged to make poor choices, the "gimme gimme" crowd who want it all now, the college kids that Kerry promised a free education....
