The Clinton Legacy New York City, 24 June 2004

About this video

Bill Clinton's latest attempt to define his legacy is a 957-page book called My Life. Though panned by the New York Times as "sloppy, self-indulgent and often eye-crossingly dull," hard-core Clinton supporters still waited eight hours or more to have the former president sign their copies. As the line of autograph-seekers snaked around the corner of Broadway and Wall Street in lower Manhattan, I asked the Clintophiles for their thoughts on Bill, his book, and his legacy.

Another excellent piece from Brain-Terminal. Watch the clintonoids gasp for words as they struggle to say anythign positive.

Finn, this video is frightening. I know there are people like these in the video but it is so sad. And those people who were denying that he was president in spring 2000 when the market was tanking. I just shake my head.

"He liked my pants."

Thanks for the pointer..... funny how they all struggled to come up with any Clinton accomplishment.

THAT was REALLY good! Excellent interviewing! Those interviewed didn't know your agenda - very key to getting people to speak candidly....and it each of their cases, having given such LAME answers!

Very enjoyable. Very telling.

Supports my contention that they all "felt" good, but didn't know why. Clinton simply knows how to manipulate people. That is no legacy. That isn't even a good quality in a person.

Sheeesh. The sheep. The utter shame.

Question please: I've tried playing it but it won't play. My browser says
"Windows Media Player cannot play this file. Connect to the internet or insert the removable media on which the file is located, and try to play the file again."

A friend recently installed some kind of spyware program on my computer. Could this be my problem?

(I am totally clueless about my computer!)

It's a QuickTime movie. Go here to download QuickTime for Windows from the Apple Web site.

Oops! I guess I'm more clueless. If I'd scrolled down, I would have seen that there was a Windows Media version, too. I can't explain your problems with it, but I suggest you try the QuickTime version.

Oh THANK YOU! But first I have to ask... Will Quicktime "compete" with my Windows Media Player?

(Someone once told me it was best to stick with only one player. That they conflict - or something like that.)

"..this video is frightening."

The most frightening thing is that these people are allowed to vote. And reproduce.

If you install QuickTime, you just have to go into the options and make sure it only plays files that Apple has made its own. Or go into the options in Windows Media Player and make sure that the boxes next to all the different kinds of sound and video files are checked.

In recent versions I think QuickTime is politer about this and doesn't try to take over all the different kind of files, but it's easy to check.

Thanks for the help, but I just downloaded it and watched as you were posting. What a bunch of dim bulbs.

It's really scary that people like that are even able to make their way to the polls to vote D. No wonder this country is in so much trouble!

These people are the embodiment of liberalism. Bubba made them "feel" good, but they can't articulate a single reason why.

He's like a traveling revival snake oil man. It's creepy. I've always felt he was creepy but this just clinches it.... People standing in line for hours just to touch the hem of his garment.

I vomit on him.
