Not that I would ever consider voting for him, but I used to have at least a little bit of respect for O'Malley. No more. He has proven himself to be just another ultra-liberal Democratic Party hack. His latest has been to whine about not getting enough money from the state and/or federal government.

OTOH, Gov. Ehrlich may be on his way up. I just hope the Dems do not manage to connect him to the last VP from Maryland in voters' minds.

"This Mayor must lose when he runs for Governor!"

He has zero chance of winning the race for governor. For two big reasons,

(1) Ehrlich, the current governor, has come out publicly against illegals and the people who support them. Even a lot of hard core liberals will be voting Ehrlich back in.
(2)O'Mally has come out in support of illegals, so much so that he offered a $3000.00 bonus to any Hispanic(we know what he means) who moves into the city. And he has told his police force not to enforce any immigration laws.

I used to frequent quite a few places in the City, but now I make it a point never to buy anything in the city as long as this clown is Mayor.

I may have eaten my last Phillips Crab cake for a while, at least until they vote out this nut case.

Phillips crab cakes are made with crabs from Thailand and other Asian countries. They haven't used Blue Crabs for years.

In fact they were sued because the package claimed that they were Maryland Crab Cakes. They had to change the packaging.

Ashcroft should arrest this man for treason!

Oh, puh-leeze! Newbie, are you sure you're on the right board? Maybe you belong over at LP.

Independentamerican said: Please add me to the Ping list. I live a few miles away in Columbia.

Sorry, I don't have a Baltimore ping list. I just pinged 3 FReepers who, to my knowledge, live somewhat near Baltimore.

I do have a DC Chapter ping list and would be happy to add you to that. Would you like me to add you to the DC ping list?

Sometimes DC Chapter members such as Staytrue and Sauropod, among others, have conducted operations in Baltimore. Adding your name to the DC Chapter list would keep you notified of such actions, as well as our numerous DC area operations. Many FReepers from points north of Columbia, MD attend our DC operations.

As to Baltimore itself, maybe Staytrue and Sauropod or know of a Baltimore list or would like to start one? Or maybe, you, IndependentAmerican, would like to start a Baltimore ping list?

I live in OC and this kook was in town a few weeks ago to sing with his "band." My son works at the restaurant where he was performing and asked me to stop by for dinner. I said, "No offense son, but I wouldn't be caught dead anywhere near Mayor O'Malley." My son said they were expecting a huge crowd, so imagine my delight the next day when my son told me, "It really wasn't that busy!" Although the OC Mayor was stuck up his rear end, most Eastern Shore natives don't think much of Mayor O'Malley.

You are correct. I humbly apologize.

In 2000: Annie gave 89,624 to Gore and 104,209 to Bush.

I made a mistake including Anne Arundel County in my list.

I surf so I am at the beach alot, and 4th and the Boards is one of my favorite spots.

The three key Dem areas are Prince Georges County, Montgomery County and Baltimore City. The other counties vary from leaning Dem to very heavily Republican.

I would venture to say that Howard County is democratic. I will not forget the days leading up to the war all of the Hippies parked in the BMW's, Mercedes and Audi's at the Columbia Mall holding signs protesting the war. I guess I should have known by all of the rules Columbia has about owning property. Doors, window blinds, have to be a certain color etc etc.

In 2000, the following counties went for Gore:

Baltimore,
Charles,
Howard,
Montgomery,
Prince Georges,
Somerset (maybe they were crabby that day eh?), and
Baltimore City

The bottom line is this: Maryland's office of tourism has in the past called Maryland "America in Miniature." That slogan is reflected in its voting behavior just as well as its culture and geography.

I love Maryland - the bay, the beach, and the mountains. I hate the part in between.

>> Try visiting the Inner Harbor with their ridiculous parking fees. Fees to Park at the Harbor has increased by 100% within the last year.

I usually park in Fell's Point and take the water taxi to the inner harbor. Very cool - but it also puts me back in Fell's Point next to one of the best blues bar in the city - Cat's Eye Pub.

Agreed. Eventhough I live in the part in between; Maryland has alittle bit of it all and I will be at the beach part in about 12 hours.
