ketchup boy gave an interview to a newspaper and stated he believes abortion is wrong and that life begins at conception.

One wonders if ketchup boy is expecting to meet his maker sooner rather than later.

Another "Say whatever I need to say in order to gain votes".

Kerry is such a fraud.

It doesn't say much, really. When I was an atheist (years ago), I held a belief that abortion was wrong and life began at conception.

So, I was right in that area. But wrong in so many others.

But in this case, I believe it is Kerry saying what he wants the voters to hear. In a few weeks, after those who favor abortion have gotten after him, he will reissue his comments.

I imagine that statement will be along the lines of "I was for abortion before I was against it!"

That is simple to say that life begins at creation, now, here is the real question, when does life aquire a soul. Please , no flames, this IMO is a valid question. BTW, in Korea, a child is given what is called a 100 day birthday party, 100 days after birth, he is then considered to be 1 year old.

Kerry Says He Believes Life Starts at Conception:

Let's see if that is in the RAT platform.

Well if your soul consists of your mind, will and emotions, then it seems when you are concieved, you have the complete package. Doesn't a fetus feel pain?

Like gay marriage, Kerry will say that he is opposed to it, but also opposed to any limitations on it, making his opposition to it absolutely meaningless.

So, he believes abortion kills a human being but he is so morally weak he won't vote against it because his constituency would not re-elect him as their Senator. What other atrocities would be willing to endorse to hold office? It's mind boggling.

WHY DON'T REPORTERS EVER ASK THE TOUGH QUESTIONS? Yeah, like I don't know the answer to that question.

As usual, Kerry can't can't seem to take a stand.
He is apparently pro life, pro abortion and pro partial birth abortion.

By Glen Johnson,Boston Globe Staff, 11/6/2003

MANCHESTER, N.H. -- Just hours after President Bush signed a law banning what critics of the procedure call "partial-birth abortion,"
Senator John F. Kerry declared last night
"there is no such thing as a partial birth," as he and the other Democratic presidential contenders sought the political support of women voters.

The Massachusetts Democrat, speaking first among the six candidates at a Planned Parenthood forum on women's issues, said:
"It is a late-term abortion.
They have done a very effective job of giving people a sense of fear about it.
It's part of their assault on the rights of women in America. . . . There's nothing partial about their effort to undo Roe v. Wade."

Washington Post,June 3, 2004 " Events Forcing Abortion issue On Kerry "

"Kerry has professed his personal opposition to abortion since his unsuccessful 1972 campaign for Congress.
"On abortion, I myself, by belief and upbringing, am opposed to abortion but as a legislator, as one who is called on to pass a law,
I would find it very difficult to legislate on something God himself has not seen fit to make clear to all the people on this earth. . . .
And I think, therefore, with a sense of justice in mind that one has to leave the question of abortion between a woman and her conscience and her doctor,"
he told the Sun, a Lowell, Mass., newspaper, in 1972.

According to the Church Fathers, ensoulment occurred at "quickening", i.e. when the mother could feel the baby move.

That's a very subjective test, but of course that is all they had to go on in those days.

Hmmm. Has he connected the detail that life ends at murder?

Does he "personally oppose" murder? How does he make an exception for abortion?

"I'm personally against slavery, but I won't "impose" my view on society." How well would that statement fly? His abortion statement is the same thing. It means NOTHING.
