Mexican soldiers, left, in green argue with a group of U.S. Marines, two of whom were carrying non-working ceremonial rifles during the funeral of 22-year-old Juan Lopez in his hometown of San Luis de la Paz in central Mexico, Sunday, July 4, 2004. The U.S. Embassy on Tuesday, July 6, 2004 sent a diplomatic note to Mexico's government demanding to know why Mexican troops interrupted the funeral of a U.S. Marine who died in Iraq (news - web sites) and was being buried in his hometown in central Guanajuato state. Mexican soldiers with automatic weapons disrupted the graveside burial of Lance Cpl. Juan Lopez on Sunday, after taking issue with two non-working, ceremonial rifles carried by two Marines who traveled from the United States to take part in the funeral. (AP Photo/Jose Luis Magana)

Well, until an apology is issued, we'll have to seal the border.
(then unplug the phone before Fox calls)

Notice the poor guy in the mariachi band standing behind them, wondering why he'd ever accepted this gig. Ay-yay-yay-yay!

If Mexico keeps up this kind of behavior, the government will just have to retaliate by cracking down on illegal immigration.

One can understand why the Mexicans would get a bit edgy about US Marines in Mexico with weapons. We do have a bit of history with them, and it has generally been to our advantage.

The Mexican military has a bad habit of getting lost on our side of the border as well.

The Mexicans soldiers in that photo are little poodles with an inferiority complex, bossing around those with more dignity ... because they can. Very "macho" of them. Little men.
FWIW, I lived in southern Mexico for about 9 months, and made some great friendships, so I'm not generalizing about *all* Mexicans.

I still say many have it wrong. The reason so many Mexicans are leaving Mexico is for reasons just like this. Mexico is a corrupt state. Someday the U.S. population of Mexican descent will turn the tables on Mexico and it will become the next U.S. State, actually maybe 31 additional States.

That appears to me to be one hair short of a diplomatic incident. Evidently the Mexicans are feeling froggy.
It just hit me ... France has everyone wanting to take a swing at us right now don't they? Maybe it is time for us to swing back.
Honestly, we really need to shut down that border so tight that air cannot squeeze through. We ARE being invaded ... I hope everyone understands that fact of the matter. And we are being invaded by a hostile enemy IMHO.
