Going on now. Roberts spoke, blamed CIA and intelligence agencies. Rockerfeller speaking, blames intelligence agencies and administration and (some) to the Congress.

Has anyone found any?
Notice Rockefeller said that "some said Iraq was an imminent threat."
The ONLY person who said that was John Edwards.
Let me guess he will say there is no evidence that Iraq aided Al Qaida?
What is going on? I just tuned in and it sounds like some kind of rebuttle to the report. Is that what it is? Political views?
I can believe these people, they have the World is wrong, WE are right
Once again, the government investigates itself and finds itself blameless.
huh? David Kay's report in Oct 2003 showed that Iraq WAS developing UAVs.
Let me ask you both this: all this information he is now trashing, didn't HIS committee have the same access as everbody he is now blaming?
Didn't Jay Rockefeller come out and give press conferences where he says that it was all very distrubing?
I had to turn channels before I shattered my tv screen. Rockefeller disgusts me.
Roberts: The CIA is full of incompetency, inertia, miscommunication and institutional bias. More money and personnel will not fix this problem.Rockefeller: I'm saddened this report only addressed the CIA role in this matter. I want to blame the President for CIA fiasco; more importantly, I want to write a report blaming Bush for forcing the CIA to give us flawed intelligence.
in my opinion, they have just compromised our nation more than anything else ever has
President Bush better get off his buns and tear this nut (Robertson) and the report. Take off the gloves and hit this shit hard, or we will be living under Kerry and this country is lost.
I just heard them dismissing the discovered WMD as being irrelevant since they were left over from other wars. I guess that means old Sarin, VX, etc cannot harm you.
Rockerfeller: It's not political.
[Yet, he has made political statement after political statement aiming blame or at least a cloud at the administration.]
And remember: It was the Rockefeller clan who donated the land that the U.N. sits on, today. The U.N. also keeps it's accounts in Rockefeller-controlled banks. I disgusting and treasonous family, IMO.
Rockefeller makes we want to spit. I have been listening to this. The war in Iraq was not legit, lives were wasted, I would never have voted for it, blah, blah. He is really out to get Cheney. It won't work.
Clinton appointee George Tenet fired. Problem solved. Move on...nothing to see here.
"he will say there is no evidence that Iraq aided Al Qaida?"
Very good guess.
Well, duh! The whole thing is nothing but political posturing. Do not expect anything of substance from those hearings.
I can not understand why the repubs don't take atleast a defense instead of just rolling with the punch after punch after punch
Again.... David Kay's report (which was preliminary) seems to belie many of the points that Roberts read.
Kerry would have been there, but he's been too busy...
A bit earlier, Rockerfeller make a remark that someone had the theory that any WMD found in Iraq now were all old from the Iraq-Iran War.
[R is setting the foundation to discount any that might be found there. Thus, the lib/dems can still accuse the Admin for going to War wrongly.]
Definitely a heavy dose of President Bush and VP Cheney bashing. Seemingly very hurtful. And in time for a whole weekend of TV talkies speculation.
Rockefeller, you're just an angry putz, you disgust me. Your angry because Bush is doing something about it, while Clinton swept it under the rug all those years hoping the threat of terrorism would go away on it's own.
Don't give me that pap that we have no coalition. The rest of the world can hate us all they want. Hate comes cheap, there's a price for respect, and you have to earn respect
By now I've grown to smile at oxymorons like the one in the title. I doubt these chumps could provide an accurate coherant report if it was handed to them only to carry five feet before opening.
Intelligence??? Hahahaha!
This news conference and the report are nothing more than buttcoverings for the Senate. They are creating cover for their own re-election efforts and to heck with the admin or the nation.
I think in the end the Democrats will open the door and bloody their noses.
I am so upset with what both senators are saying...
they act like the Clinton Admin. never had same intelligence.
Its outrageous the slant this report has.
Can someone tell me why they don't just think there were WMD, and that Iraq had time to hide/get rid of them during the lead up to war.
Just smells like Politics to me.
I know what you mean. Some days it is very frustrating, but I keep on trying to educate my fellow Republicans.
Smells like treason to me.
I wish. No he moved on by his own choosing. I'd have asked for his resignation within one hour of being sworn in. I wouldn't have kept one Klinton holdover. Tainted goods! Clinton never hired a person he didn't have dirt on, or was so incompetent that he could control them. Hillary saw to that.
The whole damn lot of those Senate Democrats can all go %$#@ themselves, and ride out on those donkeys they all rode in on.
Senator Roberts very forceful on the position that there was no political pressure to obtain a result.
Demo rat side of the rino family.
Tenet wasn't fired, he stepped down. Either way, you're right, he's gone.
It's scary watching these politicians. Their lack of caring for what is right for America is amazing.
But Fox News Channel's Tony Snow had a different idea. Snow thought it might be interesting to stick to the facts for a change.
This Sunday past, Sen. Rockefeller took a play from the Terry McAuliffe playbook and simply invented a convenient history. He told Snow and a national television audience that President Bush has alarmed the nation with a speech warning that an attack from Iraq was imminent.
Snow coolly played a tape of the president's State of the Union speech where he in fact said exactly the opposite. Bush warned the Congress that the United States could not wait for a threat to become imminent, to appear suddenly and without warning.
Snow then read from a speech that Rockefeller himself had given, one in which the West Virginia Democrat had proclaimed the threat from Iraq to be imminent.
Sen. Rockefeller was exposed and embarrassed and babbled on incoherently about what an average American should have inferred from the president's speech. I think he was close to proclaiming psychic powers when the interview mercifully for him ended.
Finally, a Democratic critic of the president had been obliged to confront the facts. It doesn't happen too often. On the same day, Slow Joe Biden was allowed by Tim Russert to repeatedly dodge the hard questions such as why he had voted for the war in Iraq if it seemed like a bad idea to him now. Few can filibuster like Joe, however, and Russert didn't corner him.
It shouldn't amaze anyone that most politicians put party above country.

I'VE HAD IT WITH THESE VERY PEOPLE CRITICIZING THE CIA, BUSH ADMINISTRATION. THEY NEED TO BE CONFRONTED WITH THE FACT ALL OF THE WORLD PUT OUT THIS INTELLIGENCE REGARDING IRAQ AND WMD, THERE ARE QUOTES FROM ROCKEFELLER, KERRY, EDWARDS, CLINTOON, ETC. THAT IRAQ WAS SUCH A THREAT. WHEN WILL THE GOP, ADMINISTRATION, PRESIDENT FINALLY MAKE THEM ANSWER FOR IT???
It is possible to gauge how damaging any press briefing will be by the number of reporters in attendance.
Swift boat veterans against Kerry -- 5 reporters
Senate Intel committee against Bush --500 reporters
Ick. Surely, there's a "My Mother the Car" rerun somewhere.
I can't believe my ears. I guess everything we know is wrong, and these guys are right. How these guys can stand up and lie like this is apalling. These folks are dangerous.
