I beg you to read Mrs. Swirsky's latests NewsMax.com column with the utmost serious attention. Why isn't the information being widely publicized concerning the existence of 20 suitcase nuke bombs set and ready to be exploded any day now, in 20 American cities? Is this "John-John" team the one we want to deal with this horrific threat to America?

Charlotte Baker Valley Village, CA.
In short, this isn't something I'm losing sleep over. I have other, more immediate concerns.
Fox had some nut talking about this last week.
I think I raad it too....probably here on FR. Haven't got a clue on what to use for a search term to find it since I believe it was posted a a part of a reply to another post.
Shouldn't even joke about that... I used to know a ham radio operator in L.A. we all called "Atomic Bomb Ed." He got that name because he was hasseling some people on the radio from Mount Wilson while high as a kite and someone asked him why he was up on Mount Wilson. He said "because I have an Atomic Bomb! I'm going to set it off and fry all of L.A.!" - unfortunately someone who did not like Ed called that in to the Sherrif. Needless to say after a lot of legal attention Ed no longer joked about nukes!
Absolute nightmare scenario. I'm voting for Bush again. We can't play games with our national survival. Bush is going to have to open up a much bigger can of whoop(stuff) if the taliturds try any stunts like this. When I saw that these devices went AWOL from Central Asia (one of the "Stans" I believe) (info. in the public record) in the last year or so, I knew something was seriously up.
By studying reports of missing or stolen weapons, reports of illegal arms sales and/or alleged proliferation, one can piece together a potential threat scenario. Combine those threat systems with potential buyers and "end users," the threat picture becomes clearer. All that needs to be determined are potential delivery systems, targets and dates, and a defense and contingency plan can be formulated.
The missing mini-nukes were allegedly acquired by Al Quaida elements, which is still hell bent on attacking the USA, again.
We need to pray for protection and also for wisdom as to how to deal effectively with this evil.
Its up to twenty now?
I had one of those, but man those wheels just don't have the shelf life...
Maybe it's not being publicized because no one thinks its true?
Sidewalk cracks tear them off.
I made that argument as clear as possible the other day on a similar thread and got flamed by the Michael Savage Sky is falling crowd. To some the existance of suitcase nukes is irrefutable based on the fact that small atomic weapons were developed by the US and USSR between 40 and 50 years ago.
This article best sums up the situation.

"The 'mythological' qualities of suitcase nukes derive not only from limited information--this is a common feature in almost everything concerning Russian nuclear weapons--but primarily from the fact that almost all available information dates to a very brief period (the second half of 1997 and early 1998) and is not very reliable. Comments about suitcase nukes are conspicuously absent in open sources prior to 1997. For example, one of the most authoritative Russian treatises on nonstrategic nuclear weapons published by the Institute of World Economy and International Relations does not mention them"
Flight 800? Yes, I hate it when that happens.
YAWN. Silly fear mongering "journalism". Talk about yellow.
CRAP.
Who knows if they are operational or not. I'm sure they are working O.T. to get them operational if purchased in a semi-obsolete state.
20 ??? BTW, someone had better have some hard, verifiable inside Intel to make a qty "20" claim.
The problem is that these terrorist organizations really do have extremely wealthy supporters from a region that closely resembles the Middle East ... A major security concern is that not all ex-Soviet weapons facilities are as secure as they should be, and in some cases, personnel may be tempted to let go of some of the NBC materials for large cash payments.
The income levels of some of the ex-Soviet military, security and scientific personnel (absent extremely strong ethics and morality) open up the possibility of cash deals and incentives for NBC materials to be offered from the "black market" (IE: non-state terrorist actors with cash reserves to burn).
If you were a commandant at a semi-secure weapons facility in the former USSR making $60-$100 month U.S. (or whatever minimal amount) and someone (also with veiled threats) initially offered you $10 million US cash for some of the materials in your care, what would you do?
Maybe the two Osama bought in 1997 were a breeding pair.
There are probably 2000 suitcase nukes inside the country and they are all in the hands of the military.
LOL
