Kerry Still Citing Joe Wilson's Bogus Claims

The Kerry campaign is still citing bogus accusations against President Bush by former U.S. Ambassador Joseph Wilson, even though the Bush accuser has been thoroughly discredited by the Senate Intelligence Committee report on Iraq's WMDs and Britain's Butler report.

As late as Friday afternoon, Kerry's campaign web site featured a letter from Amb. Wilson excoriating President Bush for "misleading" America about Iraq's attempts to buy uranium in Africa.

"I wasn't ready to keep quiet when this President misled the nation in his State of the Union Address," rails Wilson. "To speak out against bad policies after a career of accomplishments, as I recently did, is a civic duty," he added, before charging: "George Bush's Administration has betrayed our trust - I know that personally."

Wilson, who serves as a key Kerry-Edwards foreign policy advisor, has the same letter posted to his personal web site, which is addressed ironically "www.restorehonesty.com."

In a report posted just two days ago, the Kerry-Edwards campaign web site also features a reference to the Bush administration's "debunked the Niger/yellowcake claim."

Last week, the Senate Intelligence Committee indicated that claims Bush had lied about the uranium intelligence were unfounded.

"It was reasonable for analysts to assess that Iraq may have been seeking uranium from Africa based on CIA reporting and other available intelligence," the Committee found.

What's more, it turns out that Wilson's conclusions about the Niger uranium had been pretty much dismissed by U.S. intelligence from the start.

"The report on the former ambassador's trip to Niger, disseminated in March 2002, did not change analysts' assessments on the Iraq-Niger uranium deal," the Committee revealed.

Sen. Kerry has yet to say whether the discredited diplomat will continue to serve as a key advisor to his campaign.<.tt>

Never. You can't be a leftist unless you're ignorant or completely out of touch with reality.

"Sen. Kerry has yet to say whether the discredited diplomat will continue to serve as a key advisor to his campaign."

Why wouldn't one liar want to use another liar on his team?

That's why we already has a bueracracy of committees. If you gather enough liars together, somehow the truth might squeak out.

Wilson will be cannonized. Charactor does not matter.

Blessings, Bobo

Joe Wilson should be more upset that the Senate Inelligence Committee (an oversight committee) did not do their jobs (aka overseeing the operations of intelligence gathering groups like the CIA so that they are doing their jobs properly).

He should be upset that the Senate Intelligence Committee instead released a "cover our butts" report detailing how horrible and incompetent his wife and her associates at the CIA are.

I wonder if Joe Wilson has recently spent his nights sleeping on the couch.

None of this matters. The liberal media won't say a word about Wilson's lies or call Kerry on it for talking about them.

I've never seen anything like what's going on in the media now.

They will quickly rehabilitate and support Wilson's lies. The ONLY thing that would be effective would be widespread outrage by republicans demanding retractions, apologies, calling the dems liars, etc. If I hold my breath for that I'll be committing suicide.

In the end, if America crumbles because of the radical left wing, historians WILL blame the cowardice of the republicans for not opposing it. A lot of good that will do any of us.

The Bush campaign and administration needs to put an end to it. They should call on Wilson to apologize. And Plame is still working at the CIA. They need to point out the fact that Wilson is part of Kerry's election effort. Call them on their lies.

HERE is a link to an old Boston Globe editorial (10/03) that discusses the fact that Joe Wilson was working for the Kerry campaign at the time the "Bush Lied" campaign was begun. Chris Lehane, the infamous campaign dirty trickster was behind the whole thing. Please help me demand that Kerry apologize for this slanderous lie.

Your link, I think, is to the Boston Hearld, not the Boston Globe.

Which is not to say that the editorial is not accurate....only to say that the Boston Globe seldom, if ever, publishes editorials pointing out shortcomings of Democrats.

This is not surprising, or at least shouldn't be. Liberals are incapable of admitting a mistake, they are incapable of rationale behavior.

And Kerry is still insisting his testimony from 30 years ago was factual.

Of course he is still making these claims, he can't admit he was wrong.

Give the guy a break will 'ya! If he hasn't had time to be briefed on terror threats, how could he have had time to be briefed on the uncovering of Wilson's lies?*

*For those of you in Rio Linda...that's meant as sarcasm.

Thanks for pointing that out. I have been posting that link everywhere with the same error.

Make the call to the Kerry campaign. I can't believe that people don't seen to be jumping on this.

"I wonder if Joe Wilson has recently spent his nights sleeping on the couch."

I was wondering the same thing. None of this can be making Ms. Plame very happy since it was her husband who started the whole deceitful incident, then dragged her into it. It's got to be kind of tough going to work at the CIA these days knowing that your hubby has been outted as a liar, and you are judged as being guilty by association.
