LOL! NONE OTHER!
Homosexual Agenda Ping - Good one for the Bahamanians! Now I want to visit there.
If anyone has any pictures, it would be good to see them.
Let me know if anyone wants on/off this pinglist.
Hey Moosehead,
"Some of these "Christians" have too much time on their hands. Protesting someone on vacation...what is the point? To humiliate the kids on the boat? Or make the news ala Fred Phelps?
Losers."
Life is a two way street. With your folks beating us up on the Right about any possible issue, you need to expect retribution. Learn to live with it!!!
Losers? Look in a mirror!
Yes, and they achieved their goals.
So, depending on what the protestor's goals were, they might have been far more successful than even they expected. You can disagree on the subject matter, but I'd say that from the protestor's viewpoint, it was successful.
Several points - you compared the protests to people going into bars or strip joints. But that's not a good comparison, as these protestors did not go on the ship. They stood on the ground. The homosexuals, OTOH, came from another country to the protestors' country.
Casting stones? I didn't hear of any violence or assault, just free speech going on. When Jesus told the people stoning the adulteress to death, he prevented them from continuing the stoning. Then he told the adulteress to "go and sin no more". People often confuse calling a spade a spade with actually stoning someone to death.
Jesus never told anyone to pretend that illicit perverted sexual behavior is not wrong.
So you think people should be prevented from protesting against homosexual cruise ships? Should the police have arrested them and prevented them from peacably assembling?
Well, a guy who walks in traffic with a posterboard saying "Jesus saves" is successful, from his viewpoint.
You would really like what the clinton holdover homosexual ambasador to romania (or is that hungary) had done. He turned the embasy into a homosexual party central.
The state department is incompetent. What about promoting peaceful protest?
What about just letting it go?
These women publicize a particular sexual practice. This cruise was to make their sexual practice on public display. If they did not want the public to see, they should not have landed the ship.
I have to agree with you. This is no way to reach out to those that are living in sin. It only causes further seperation and it becomes harder to witness to them.
She has chartered more than just Norweigan. Carnival has been used too.
It it useful to note much of the cruise industry has been consolodated.
"...smoking a cigarette (which in my opinion is morally wrong)..."
Morally wrong?? What planet are you from or talking from? Uranus?
Having studied in Athens I can tell you the notion of ancient greece being a homosexual den is vastly excagerated. Mostly by american university homosexuals.
The ancient Greeks held the belief that homosexuality was a CHOSEN behavior.
It is also worth noting the ancients used the "perversion" (their words) of homosexuality to marginalise conquered rulers. This was a means of calling any heirs that may claim a conquered throne a fraud.
BTW: a visiting professor in thesaloniki tried to make a speech that ancient King Philip was a homosexual. The professors there got violent and the man had to flee with police escort. His invitation was revoked.
The ancient egyptians practiced far more homosexuality than the ancient greeks.
Homosexuality should be treated like the fetish that it is. It is a mental illness. The APA was wrong to take it out of the DSM, just as they were wrong for briefly taking out pedophilia out of the DSM. (Pedophilia was put back only after public outcry and only as part of an addendum.)
You made this point:
"They informed the passengers on the ship that God does not approve of their lifestyle choice (yes, I understand that is highly subjective)"
I actually agree with what you said, except for this one point: It is not subjective. It is truth - and the same standard is extant in every religion in the world. Why? Because it is the truth.
I guess you could say from God's viewpoint, it's subjective. Whatever He thinks and says, is true, because He says it is!
Let's say for the sake of argument that they did.
Should they have stayed home anyway, to avoid annoying you?
As Moosehead said, they're Fred-Phelps-in-waiting.
So it's no reproof to call someone a catamite, but it is to call him Fred Phelps. You redefine deviancy down for gays and pederasts, and redefine it up for hotspur ministers of the Gospel who preach outrage at amorality and immorality.
Sounds kinda perverse to me.
Maybe those who are determined to sin in that way can't be reached (although you never know what will happen in each of their lives down the years) but these protestors are also showing others that standing up for the truth can be done; they're being examples for their own children and other peoples' children. It is important for everyone to stand up for truth.
The only reason the homosexual agenda has succeeded to the extent it has is not because the activists themselves weren't convinced of the error of their ways, but because everyone else rolled over for them.
If you had ever seen one of these full boat charter contracts you would laugh.
They have all sorts of clauses regarding the presense of men during pool and dining hours. In short they want no men visibile as much as possible.
If these islanders had been waiving "yankee go home" they would have been ok with it. Now they are shoke to discover their homosexual life choice is not accepted like a visa card on vacation.
Whatever. These demonstrators accomplished exactly nothing.
I think it's a bit presumptuous for you, far away from the Bahamas, to state that "nothing was accomplished". How do you know? Maybe the protest stirred up people, who may now be more aware of the "gay" agenda. Maybe more parents will educate their children about what homosexuality really is.
Maybe more people in the Bahamas will look into what homosexual activists really want, and protect their country from crap like "gay" marriage now.
I don't understand how you, sitting nice and warm in whatever state you live in, can say "nothing" was accomplished. They didn't have the protest to influence or impress you!
They impressed no one, but those who despise gays to begin with.
I just think stuff like this is counterproductive.
If you disagree, that's fine. I really don't want to argue an opinion.
Demonstrating against a bunch of sodomites and lesbians would not be my protest of choice, but these folks were just exercising their freedom.
LOL!
