FReepers, In case you don't need the explanation below, here is the question:
What advice would you give a young couple who are both still in college and will be married in August? --------------------------------------------------------
Explanation: I've been asked to speak and do my little comedy act at the rehearsal dinner with about 75 people in attendence. I need some material and I know my fellow FReepers are bound to have some key pointers on the Institution of Marriage. Not looking for anyone to write my material, just need some actual advice that would help these young people out. Here are a couple of examples:
Things for HIM to keep in mind-
1. She gets the good car. Thats just the way it is. Its how you should want it anyway.
2. One hair appointment equals two rounds of golf. Encourage hair appointments.
3. She's smarter than you. Sure, she bases all her decisions on emotion and intuition, but you base all of yours on what you'll have to eat next.
I'd really like to hear from you Lady FReepers because I don't know much about love and marriage from the female side of it. Serious advice is appreciated too!

The young couple is my nephew and his bride to be. They are both great kids who are getting straitht A's at North Florida University.
Thanks for any input friends. I thought it might be a nice change of pace too.

Keep your debt to a minimum, pay for things as you can afford them. Starting a new life together is hard enough by itself without the heavy burdens of debt.
Love is never vengeful. Let it go.
