Berger Theft Summarized by me, Kerry and Clinton Connections, and Implications...
Self, and Others Posted via links ^ | July 20, 2004 | Joseph Ranos

Edited on 07/20/2004 1:08:01 PM PDT by Admin Moderator. [history]

Ok, this is what I have put together thus far, which I feel needs to be reported as one single story with dots being connected.

This is a serious Breach. As he is no longer in Government, what would happen if you or I did that? Would we still be walking around free? Somehow I doubt it.

BTW - You do realize Berger is one of Kerry's foremost advisor's, right....??

Is this the kind of people we want in Government, Not Me....

*****************

From: John Kerry's web Site Link

Typically, before making a decision, Kerry solicits many opinions. His staff installed a long cord on his phone so he could pace while he listens. Some sources are obvious, such as Clinton's former national security adviser Samuel R. "Sandy" Berger. Some are not.

And..... This Guy is Kerry's Foreign Policy Advisor...

****************

From: John Kerry's web Site Link

“In a conference call with reporters before the speech, Kerry foreign policy advisor Samuel R. "Sandy" Berger said those remarks were not meant to embrace Bush's doctrine of launching preemptive attacks against states the U.S. views as a threat.

Berger, who was President Clinton's national security advisor, said there was "a profound difference between elevating preemption to a defining strategic doctrine," as Bush has, and "recognizing that no president is going to stand by, if he sees an immediate threat to the United States, and not take action."

****************

hmmmm, how long before these quotes disappear from Kerry's site, I wonder???

Look for Kerry to distance himself from Berger, and when he does, remember his pride in using him as an advisor, that I listed above... Coming Soon....

Flip-Flop Kerry to distance himself from Berger...

And you can take that one to the bank...

Now, I wonder what he allegedly STOLE from the Archives, and how damaging the information was to him, Richard Clarke, or Clinton, and why he allegedly felt the need to put them in his pants????

I can't wait for the flip-Flop from Kerry on this one.... And it will be interesting to see how the press downplays his role in Kerry's Campaign.

I have not even seen anyone mention these yet, have you????

Even Fox doesn't list him as a Kerry Advisor in this story.. Please.... tell me how his involvement with Kerry is NOT Relevant.....

Fox News Article

More background, as the press will refuse to report this stuff..

Now...here come the dots, connect at will....

Remember John Deutsch, Clinton's CIA Director, who was caught putting national security secret documents on his HOME COMPUTER.....

Well, him and Berger surely corresponded with each other, and guess what Clinton did for Deutsch....

He pardoned him for the act in his last days of office, before he could be charged with anything....

hmmm, pardoned before being charged, huh????

So when he is charged, and the dems start screaming partisan politics, remember the name of John Deutsch.

And I found this from CNN, via Drudge....

*****************

From: CNN Article

“Berger was designated as the official from the Clinton administration who would review documents relevant to commission inquiries. He was also a witness at the 9/11 commission hearings and reviewed records to prepare for his personal testimony.”

*********

In best dean voice......

AAArrrrggghhhhhh......

How can the Press ignore this...

The Guy designated as the person to review documents in the 9/11 Investigation for Clinton's administration Steals them.....

Unbelievable.....

Come on now, If I can put this together, why can't the Press summarize all this....

To me this is a potential HUGE Smoking Gun... What did he steal that we don't know about?????

Innocent mistake my eye.... This guy is trained in Intelligence, every thing he does at his level is specific, and willful.

Man, Is this messed up....

It is so easy to connect these dots, they scream at you.....

************

from the Foxnews article: Fox News Article

“However, some drafts of a sensitive after-action report on the Clinton administration's handling of Al Qaeda terror threats during the December 1999 millennium celebration are still missing, officials and lawyers said. Officials said the missing documents also identified America's terror vulnerabilities at airports to seaports.”

***************

Well, now isn't that convenient..... After action reports written by, guess who.....

The dems favorite terror expert...Richard Clarke...

You remember him, the guy who was responsible more than anyone for keeping terror from hitting our shores, and yet did hardly anything after continued attacks against our interests here and abroad..

Just add it up folks, and see who is allegedly hiding stuff from the 9/11 Commission regarding Terrorists.....

Clinton.....?
Deutsch....?
Berger.....?
Clarke.... ?

Now I wonder why these things disappeared... Hmmmm???

So in summary...

I am especially interested in when Kerry found out about this investigation, and whether he continued using berger as an Advisor after he learned of it?

So how do you connect the dots???

I think mine connect pretty well as a massive attempt to disparage the truth about what Clinton's ADministration did in response to terrorism, and their lack of action in a feeble attempt to Blame others instead of taking responsibility.

Feel free to repost this with attribution back here to my original post.

Sandy Berger took a chance.
And stuff the evidence down his pants.
Then asked why? - it’s endless rants.
“It’s so sloppy in my pants”
Then newsroom lefties begin their dance.
“Look at the timing, not the happenstance.”

Great, I had this posted to other topics and keywords that were relevent, and somebody moved it to Chat ONLY, and deleted all the keywords...

Thanks, as I busted my butt to put this together.

You know, I've been a member here since 1998, and even though I don't post millions of messages, a little common courtesy would be appreciated.

I am very dissapointed...

#9 in your last section should be Berger, no?

If you contact the mods, maybe they can change it

Here's what I think:

a) as documents were prepared for the 9/11 Commission (or the Senate or the President himself), that person was screening possibly embarassing items and alerting Lindsey;

b) Lindsey got the ex-Clinton administration figure (like Berger) involved to ask for a "review" of the documents (for accuracy, of course);

c) the former Clinton administration officials then pulled or replaced incriminating documents before the 9/11 Commission or anyone else could see them;

Berger was just too lazy and/or arrogant to bring replacements, or the missing documents could not be covered up.

The most frightening thing is we have no idea if Berger's case is an isolated example of former Clinton administration officials.

If it is not, and if many people in government in different departments (CIA, FBI, Satte, etc.) were involved in pre-screening and deep-sixing documents, then neither the 9/11 Commission nor the Senate Committees ever saw the whole truth.

It's also quite possible that no one in the present administation has seen the whole truth either.

What kind of man, steals archived Documents in his socks?

It is so reminiscent of the Clinton years, when the documents from Vincent Foster's Office were missing after his suicide on July 20,1993, and somehow turned up mysteriously in the Clinton's personal residence in the White House on July 26, 1993.

Or How on May 16, 1995, Judge Royce Lamberth orders the release of ducuments on Commerce Secretary Ron Brown's trade missions and possible political influence on them, under a freedome of Information Act Suit filed by Judicial Watch, a Conservative legal watchdog group.

In October 28, 1996, when Ira Sockowitz, a Clinton appointee of Commerce , admists he removed classified documents when he took a new job a the Small Busines adminstration. The Documents are seized bye the SBA's Inspector General . In Novemeber, Dalia Traynham, , a Commerce Employee Admits Shredding Documentss from Brown's Files after his death.

GOP Moves to Declassify Clarke Testimony (Perjury Trap ?)
Yahoo News/AP ^ | 3/26/2004 | DAVID ESPO

Posted on 03/26/2004 12:56:27 PM PST by AMDG

Top Republicans in Congress sought Friday to declassify two-year-old testimony by former White House aide Richard Clarke, suggesting he may have lied this week when he faulted President Bush (news - web sites)'s handling of the war on terror.

"Mr. Clarke has told two entirely different stories under oath," Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist said in a speech on the Senate floor.

The Tennessee Republican said he hopes Clarke's testimony in July 2002 before the House and Senate intelligence committees can be declassified. Then, he said, it can be compared with the account the former aide provided in his nationally televised appearance Wednesday before the bipartisan commission investigating the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks.

So how do you connect the dots??? ............

A few more dots!

The security folks at the archive site did not call the FBI, or anyone in government once they found Berger stealing: Archive security called Clinton's attorneys.

So Clinton's lawyers knew that security knew Berger was stealing; so Clinton probably knew; so McAullife probably knew;

but, Kerry didn't dump this spoiled merchandise guy from his advisory position, so Kerry DIDN'T KNOW.

Sorry, dude, but this convoluted patchwork of half-truths will never find legs. Even in reading your summary, I couldn't follow any discernable, concrete pattern of criminality. Most of your points have no relevance to anything. Kerry has a long phone cord -- so what??

Simply put, "Nixon ordered a break-in" this ain't. While I'm all for prosecuting the Clintons, I can't see how this "story" will amount to that.

Here's a dot to connect. When the geeks at the National Archives catch Berger with his hands in his pants, they don't call the DOJ, FBI, or anyone else in the Administration, but rather, they call one of Billary Clintoon's favorite hitman, Bruce Lindsey. And now, many months after the NA notifies Lindsey, and the FBI probe begins, the story ends up in the press just prior to the DUM Convention. Should we blame GOP operatives for the timing of the story? Perhaps. I'm sure that's what Billary and Bruce would like us to think. Look for more of this stuff as long as Bush's lead is in the low single digits. Remember, if Kerry wins, then statitically, Billary's next real chance to win is 2016.

“Look at the timing, not the happenstance.”

Although your doggerel is no threat to Dr. Seuss, your last line makes an excellent point. It is the exact same methodology the dims used with the Mamuel Miranda memos. As you may recall Miranda uncovered incriminating information stored on a common server used by both dems and republicans. The information contained a smoking gun showing that one of Ted Kennedy's staffers was trying to interfere with a judicial appointment prior to the Affirmative Action case involving the University of Michigan. All of the reaction by the democrats (and, sadly, some republicans) involved the "illegal" efforts used to obtain the data, rather than the incriminating data itself.

Berger has now resigned form being and advisor to Kerry...

And the spin continues on the left, trying to minimize it by calling Berger an informal advisor...

So when did kery know about this investigation, and why did he keep Berger on??

This goes deeper than berger, and Kerry is now a part of it...

What did Berger feed kery, or what did he keep from him, based upon his theft from the archives???

And How long did Kerry know about this investigation, and did Berger admit to him before the story Broke?

Maybe he figured it would not be disclosed, and took the risk anyway.

Now the Biased press are calling Berger the "Informal Advisor"

And then Clinton is out there defending Berger today... yeah, maybe because Berger has crap on Clinton, or maybe Clinton knew about the Break-in at the Archives as it was happening...

Thanks, Sonar. This is something I'd considered doing but just didn't have the time.

Let me address it from a little different angle: The Dem Spin.

1. "It was inadvertent."
No way. It happened multiple times, he was stuffing them in his pants, and he destroyed some of them.

2. "There are copies of all of these documents, so what's the harm?"
I've followed this very closely and even Berger's lawyer HAS NOT said this...only the political spinners have said it. They have no way of knowing since we don't know what documents were removed.

3. "The commision got the memo, so in the end there was no effort to hide information."
Note they say the commision got "the memo". But, according to news reports, Berger isn't accused of removing "the memo". He removed multiple DRAFTS Clarke wrote before the final memo. Each draft would have had different wording and emphasis. The commision had no way of knowing whether one or another draft existed...except is Berger told them.

4. They are also muddying the water on whether Berger was allowed to take out notes he made while reviewing the documents. He wasn't. But the Dems are happy to give the impression there was nothing wrong with his doing this.

I'm sure there's more. Who can keep up with the Dems and their spin machine? Just wanted to get this on the record.
