To leave Afghanistan half-finished (thus sending it back to its old state) and going into Iraq, the result is that the USA have lost this worldwide sympathy wholesale. That is deeply saddening, because another route could have been taken. The only thing deeply saddening is the left’s fantasy state of mind.

1. We have NOT left Afghanistan.
2. The fight with what is left of the Taliban & hunt for OBL did/does stipend off troops needed in IRAQ. The US Armed Forces can take care of business in both countries simultaneously. Just because Dutch forces couldn’t do it doesn’t mean ours can’t.
USA have lost this worldwide sympathy wholesale… More fantasy, you watch too much TV. Just because the leftist media, hope & wish it were so doesn’t make it so.

I guess you don't understand the bitter nature of partisan politics in the US. The committe you referece is a sham. Documents that would have implicated the Clinton Administration's failure to act on Alqaeda threats to the US were STOLEN from a secure location by a PARTISAN politician worried about his boss's legacy, instead of trying to be honest.
