Who has the transcript from Dan Rather's announcement of Berger resignation?

I haven't watched CBS News in 15 years, but happened to catch a clip of Dan Rather's announcement of the Berger resignation, and was shocked at the undisguised partisanship of Mr. Rather. He stated that the Berger resignation was prompted by a "carefully orchestrated" set of manuevers, in effect blaming Republicans, while not even mentioning the fact that Mr. Berger was caught stealing documents from the National Archives.

It's pathetic that CBS has been reduced to this low level. I can't find the transcript on the internet. Does anyone have it?

Joe Scarborough showed it this evening. It's not just the language that Rather used -- it's his smarmy, facial expressions along with his derisive voice inflections.

Ratherbiased lives up to his name once again. Pure Blather!

He's not gonna want to hear that it was the dems who leaked the story.

Oh, you must have been hallucinating. The lead up to the CBS nightly news said it was going to be a no holds barred interview.

Beyond that, ABC and NBC led with this story while SeeBS led with "4 dead in Iraq".

Then when Mr. Ratherbiased DID get around to it, it was pitched as a resignation, followed by a description of the "controversial partisan leak"...

It's on another thread. It'll take a while to find the link. ON one of tonight's talk shows, a prominant dem (Kerry man) says Kerry was just informed this week by Berger, and Kerry told Berger to get the story out immediately.

Isnt this great? You know damn well if this was someone from our side they would be howling 24/7 about the impropriety of it all.

CBS is king in the ratings of its evening primetime lineup, but is dead last in the ratings in the evening news category.

Hello, CBS program directors! Have you ever thought about this disconnect??

This would be even worse if Dan Rather still had an audience. I think only Cronkite and Sandy Berger were tuned in for this one. We'll forgive you for channel surfing and "inadvertently" seeing Danny Boy in action.

I watched CBS News tonight for the first time in years just to see how they handled the story on the second day. Nothing. Just anti-war propaganda.

The Old Media isn't simply helping Kerry, it's more like Kerry is just their front man. The Old Media is doing the heavy lifting while Kerry takes one vacation after another.

What scares me is that the Old Media won't even care about the harm they do to our nation when they support Kerry's legal challenges to the election results in numerous states. They'll just repeat "count every vote."

I saw it Tuesday night and it was really a new low, even for Rather. His line was that the whole deal was a Republican dirty trick. I hope there's a wave of complaint about his total bias and dishonesty. (but I wouldn't hold my breath)

It's pathetic that CBS has been reduced to this low level.

And their target audience is too busy watching "Will and Grace" sydnicated reruns on a local channel.

If the Democrats leak it now, it won't have the same kick as if it had been leaked on the eve of the election (as the Bush DUI story was). President Bush only missed the "popular vote" by 0.52%. Think he lost 500,000 votes?

We know that Clinton's legal team leaked information.

Why is it no one started Abu Ghraib stories with "this was already under investigation for months when it was leaked by one of the participants"?

Abu Ghraib was the turn around in public support for Iraq. It also kicked up the decapitations (kidnappings were already happening but they've picked up the pace).

Aid and comfort to the enemy so that the liberals could defeat "Mister" Bush.

As to the "election eve disclosure", HRC would have stood to gain with a Bush win. Bill Clinton DID know about this investigation. John Kerry must declare whether or not he was aware of this investigation. The press will not ask this question.
