'IDIOT' GERMANS HARASS LANCE

July 22, 2004 -- Asinine German cycling fans harassed five-time Tour de France champion Lance Armstrong during yesterday's grueling ride though the French Alps - two of the "idiots" spat on him, and another spectator chased him while wearing a "F - - - Bush" T-shirt. By the end of the day, of course, the spit on Armstrong was exchanged for a bath of champagne, thanks to the Texan's time-trial victory. But the win did not erase what had happened.
"I don't think it's safe," said Armstrong, who is on pace to win an unprecedented sixth tour in a row. He called the German fans "horrible" - but said that animosity "motivates me more. I think it puts a little fuel on the fire."
In a TV interview, he complained about the Germans' "disgusting behavior."
Many Europeans are openly contemptuous of the American.
That sentiment was captured in a roadside sign last week that read, "Lance Go Home."
As a result, Armstrong has bodyguards during the three-week race.
"Nothing against the French, but in France, they're after us," Armstrong said.

He was spit on in earlier stages as well but he didn't see it.
The idiots spit on his back as he went past in the earlier stages, yesterday they were more bold and he actually saw them.
The behavior of the "fans" of the Tour has been abysmal. It's becoming a freakshow of losers and unless the tour takes action the best riders in the world will stop participating.
Too bad about his fertility. It probably is due to the cancer treatment. The gene pool would be enriched by his superior will and physical traits.
Crow probably thinks it's terrible, and that it's all George Bush's fault.
We are going to have to kick the Germans' asses again before this is over.

The German courts gave him a two year suspended sentence! (They just couldn't bring themselves to state that there was anything really wrong with stabbing a Serb, you see.)
Nowadays, they'd probably spin such an attack on an American as a statement for world peace!

I wonder about this too. I may disagree with her politics, but she's a hard working musician who made herself into star. She's not a bad songwriter also.
Next time Europe falls into a shithole like WW1/WW2/Berlin Blockade, etc, etc...let them stay in it, it's what they deserve.

Also, the guys doing this crap where Ulrich supporters who first heckled and harrassed Jens Voigt for slowing down Ulrich previously. Then they almost pulled Ulrich of his bike trying to celebrate him when he came through. By the time Armstrong came through (since he was the last driver) they were already whipped into a frenzy.
Huh? He already has three children.
Won't say anything more, but today's stage came down to Lance vs. the 2 Germans...Ullrich and Kloden. Watch it.
Lance needs a 12 inch piece of tire tube tie wrapped on each end half filled with lead shot.
