"Kirsten's life is over today; this is all she lived for...."

I think she was setting up her future this morning on Today. She will be "working hard" to see that the recommendations of the Commitee are implemented and don't just sit on a shelf somewhere. She isn't off the payroll yet.

Oh boy, here's Kerry's statement. He received a telephone briefing from Kean & Hamilton. He can't wait to get started in the administration of the new bureaucracy. Says the commission report reflects things HE'S been saying all along.

Yaya, that sentiment is the one Kerry is espousing. Don't fall for the "it's too important to make partisan.." That commission was garbage. It was partisan before it began.

Well, maybe someone needs to explain a few "facts of life" to her, and point out some harsh realities. I'm thinking me. Got her email address handy? ;0)

"Berger will go to jail, I predict."

IMO, he will not even be indicted. His punishment will be embarrassment and harsh language directed at him by some, but the Bush Administration will not indict him. If we are not lucky, this will turn into an investigation of the "leak" of the investigation.

Need To Know is the basis of military security. I should know, I have been doing it for 17 yrs.

Need to Share if implemented in the DoD would be disastrous.

Is she the one who encouraged her husband to join the fire department? Or is that a different Jersey Girl?

If it's her, you can understand her rabid need to find somebody, anybody, everybody else to blame.

She can solve that craving by focusing on the terrorists and those nations that support them.

Ben Veniste is talking about "secrets", still playing that game of not getting all the INTEL!!!!

"Tell him to ask Berger."

Benny is satisfied with Sandy the Burglar's documents, or lack thereof, he is reading from the Rockey leaked memo on the "INTEL" that they can not get their hands on that President Bush has.

It's reform that got us into this mess. Hamilton, Gorelick, Kerry, Roemer (SP?) all had a hand in brining us to 9/11.

Rush is saying "There is nothing in the Report that Bush would need to cover up" and therefore the canard that the Berger leak was to deflect criticism is empty ... as said above, Bush has already implemented many of the reforms. In fact, Bush could accuse the Commission of copying his homework. Look for the Berger apologist spin to alter.

Wasn't Kerry obnoxious? After saying that now is not the time for partisanship, whereupon he proceeds to give a partisan speech, including acting like what is in the report mirrors HIS ideas.

Also, I think he has had new botox injections.

If partisan talking heads and anchors try to incite political attack from this Report, I think they will be excoriated.

I know this fear that unites both sides right now won't last indefinitely, but it's a wake-up call to the media and to political attack dogs, that the good of the country is more important than political gain.

Steve Hayes - The Weekly Standard:

You scaled back the staff statement that says now "no collaborative operational relationship". It appears the Clinton administration believed in 1998 that Iraq provided chemical expertise to AQ.

Answer: There's no question in our mind there was a relationship between Iraq and AQ. We don't know about WMD collaboration but there was suspicious on the part of the Clinton administration. There was a relationship but no relationship between Iraq and AQ and 9/11 and that's why we were careful with the word collaborative relationship.

Further response: Large distinction between evidence of conversations that occurred between Iraq and AQ on the one hand and an emerging strategy that is concrete on the other. And what we don't have is evidence of a concrete operational relationship.

No, she's the one whose husband was in the second tower and had walked DOWN the stairs, only to return to his office when the building people announced it was safe to return.

Now, I ask you this -- if you had been working in those Towers in 1993, as her husband was, and had seen what happened then -- and you found yourself in a building that was less than 100 yards from another building that had an AIRPLANE ON FIRE in it, would you have gone back up?

Reaffirms that there was a 'collaborative relationship' between Iraq (Saddam) and al-Qaeda.
