Just to be sure that the point is not mised by a "casual visitor" to this site . . . .

" verified information that a flood of middle-eastern males have been caught entering the country illegally east of Douglas, Arizona. "

If the border is not CLOSED we are gonna bleed. I damn sure will not give a rat if the border is not closed and non-LEO / non-military Americans are FORCED to self defense of themselves, their families and their homes. I will be among them.

practice runs for exactly such a scenario.

Anna, after it happens, it will once again have been 'obvious', people will want to know why all of these 'signs' were missed, why weren't the screaming Border Patrol agents heard, yada, yada, yada. It is disturbing how little has really changed.

As you mention, we've got 'em on video fer cryin' out loud rehearsing for the very thing.

"The officials said the report probably was based on the recent arrests of a group of people from a small southern Mexican Indian tribe. Known as the Oaxacan, the tribesmen were caught trying to cross the border."

Total BS!

In 1985 when I was waiting for a passanger at Brown Field, San Diego, the border patrol agents that I was talking to in the bar/restaruant at the airport said that around 20% of the illegals trying to cross the border were from Asia and the Middle East coming through Mexico.

I'm sure nothing has changed!

I doubt that terrorists will kick in doors of individual houses. Much better to open up at a mall or gas station, anywhere there's a crowd or that will create fear in the average person taking care of necessary chores.

Time to pick up a permit for concealed carry, and several extra magazines.

Then, you're all in one place where response can be concentrated and you can be surrounded and eliminated. Think about the much greater psychological impact of Americans being attacked in their homes.

But, by all means, stock up. The signs point to the plans being executed sooner, rather than later.

Mexico, aiding and abetting the terrorists. President Bush, please remove our troops from Europe and put them on the borders. Bush/Cheney 2004

The best place to hide is in a crowd. We couldn't stop the influx of Mexican laborers even if we wanted to. It's time to face reality and change our immigration system to orderly process guest workers into this country leagally. "Operation Wetback" seems to have worked. Unlike the War on Drugs, there are only a limited number of consumers for illegal alien labor. It would be very difficult if not impossible to prevent drug use because of the millions of consumers. But, the consumers of illegal alien labor generally have stores or other locations where they do legitimate business. Most (sane and honest) people can tell the difference between a group of Americans (of all races, creeds, and colors) and a group of illegals. So, if we wanted to, it wouldn't be that difficult to prevent as many employers as possible from using illegal labor. Coupled with intiatives like Protect Arizona Now, why exactly would illegals come here? They couldn't use our public services and they couldn't find work. Perhaps they could camp out in the desert, but they could do that in their home countries. When Bush throws up his hands and says there's nothing we can do, the system is broken he's simply lying. The system is broken, he just isn't following the system.

At my house they'd get buckshot shampoos and accupuncture with the hollowpoint slugs I have loaded in my riot shotgun.

Well, I'm glad to see you changed your tune, even if it is ever so slightly. However your suggestion does nothing to address our insecure borders. I take it you're perfectly OK with 2 dozen middle eastern men escaping from the BP's clutches?

Wouldn't common sense dictate that we might want to improve our half-assed border security arrangement now?

I'm just curious as to why you are so adamently against increasing border security.

Even if we did set up a guest worker program, it still wouldn't solve the problem of illegal immigration. The United States doesn't need an unlimited supply of guest workers. Those foreigners who want to come to the United States, but who don't qualify for the guest worker program, will still come here, but will do so illegally.

Exactly, which is why they'll pick places like San Francisco, Denver, Boston, Seattle, Portland (Oregon), Vermont. You know, all those places where guns are eeeevillll...?

"..........BS........."

As I said, 'For the Record'.

I'm not sure WHATS going on. Is the article I found in the WashTimes saying that the Border Patrol Officials quoted in it are trying to confuse the issue by refuting the OTHER story?

As I said, 'For the Record'.

G Gordon Liddy addressed this issue at great length in his first hour today. Col David Hackworth reported that he followed up in independent detail on the report in the Tumbleweed and has confirmed that their findings are accurate and true.

This IS happening. OTM, specifically middle eastern men ARE coming across our borders.

God help us.

The Clancy book with a jet crashing into the Capitol, killing the POTUS, most of Congress, most of the Cabinet, and most of the SCOTUS, was 'Debt of Honor'.

And the pilot in that marvelous bit of fiction was Japenese.

The book was released years before 9-11-01.

I disagree. Start removing the incentives for illegal immigration. Enforce the laws already on the books that levy fines against employers for hiring illegal workers. If employers are investigated, they claim they can't be responsible if their workers present documents which later turn out to be fake. Or employers hire workers "off the books" and pay cash so no documents are needed.

Changing our immigration system? The US currently permits between 1 to 1.5 million legal immigrants a year - the highest level of any country!
