Carr sure sums up why this could be a pretty ugly convention even though we all know Senator Kerry is the nominee.

Kerry is starting to sound like an American version of Prince Charles.

In the meantime they have the Gitmo cages et up for protesters behind the convention center where they wont be seen. Funny how the Dems fight free speech by hiding protesters,

It's a long shot, but maybe the Boston folks will be so pissed about the virtual shutdown of their city that they'll vote for Bush in November. A very long shot.

Kerry is just one of the common people?

"He thinks he's acting presidential," said one Democrat at the State House. "But the reality is, he's been ducking and everybody knows it. This is just reinforcing the impression that he's not an executive, he's a legislator. The only decision he ever has to make is what wine to order with dinner."

Ooof! That has to hurt! It's delicious irony when Kerry's own home town starts to turn on him. Poetic justice.

From the article: Pregnant women have been told to find suburban hospitals for their deliveries. Chemotherapy and radiation treatments have been canceled, along with all elective surgery.

Guess if you are a dialysis patient, you're SOL.

As Carr points out, elists like Kerry and Kennedy are above such matters. The reality is, having never held a real job in their life, their real-world problem solving abilities don't exist. JFK might be useful as a Sommelier or Maître d for wealthy women, but not much else.

Wow. This is bad. Now I'm really not going to vote for him. I'm going to press the Bush button even harder after reading this.

Here's some rumored fundraising events that the Dems plan to conduct here in Boston:

Bill Clinton with set up a "Kiss the Slick Willy" booth.

Hillary Clinton will auction off a midnight "Vince Foster" suicide / murder reenactment on the Boston Common.

Al Gore will visit the Myogyo Ji Buddist Temple of Greater Boston, participants are asked to bring a large brown bag with handles or empty suitcase.

Ted Kennedy will give rides across the Zakim Bridge ala Chappaquiddick (July 18,1969).

Barney Frank will give a "guided" tour of the Back Bay.

Jimmy Carter will go rabbit hunter on the Charles.

Rob Lowe will photgraph two females, one of legal age the other not at a hotel of their choice.

John Edwards will conduct a midnight seance at the Granary Burial Grouds & conjure up spirits (not to mention votes & future clients).

The most sought after ticket will be the Copley Hotel tour by John Kerry. He'll visit the washroom where his grandfather blew his brains out on November 21, 1921.

Enjoy!

Given Jean's predilection for using the F-word and reminding everyone of his service in Nam, another description of Jean comes to mind in the form of an acronym: REMF.

"If they ever name a street after Kerry," said one of the mayor's allies at City Hall, "it'll have to be one-way."

Yeah, but every so often it'll flip-flop to the other direction.

This one is priceless. I heard that Mitt tried to get them to move the venue to a place that would cause less disruption but the dems wouldn't hear of it.

Pregnant women have to make arrangements with other hospitals? Good grief!

pedaling his $8,000 Serotta bicycle

GeeWhiz! This from the guy who said "the little people need someone to speak for them"? He ought to go to WalMart and get an $89.95 Huffy so he can be a real man of the (little) people.

Yep, The party of "regular folks", seems that the regular folks are as usual, getting a screwing!

Can you imagine if the Republicans had people cancel their cancer treatments and told pregnant women to choose another hospital out of town to deliver their babies!!! The liberal news would be all over it! You know, "Those Evil Republicans"!!!!

Can anybody tell me how it's possible to justify the price of an $8,000 bike??

I've had a $79 girls bike (I'm short!) for the past 5 years, and it runs great! (It's also metallic pink. I figured nobody'd want to steal a cheap, pink bike!)

If those pregnant women have problems in Boston, the Rats will perform abortions themselves, free of charge, as long as it doesn't interfere with trips to Hooters.

Great to see the Post picking up Howie. I'd love to see his show go national. He's the funniest talk show host that I know.

While the mayor and the governor toiled on the security arrangements for Kerry's coronation, the senator did a little hang-gliding, and skipped a largely symbolic vote in the U.S. Senate on gay marriage.

"He thinks he's acting presidential," said one Democrat at the State House. "But the reality is, he's been ducking and everybody knows it. This is just reinforcing the impression that he's not an executive, he's a legislator. The only decision he ever has to make is what wine to order with dinner."

Pretty harsh coming from a Dem.

Menino did not appreciate being hung out to dry by his ostensible ally. "If they ever name a street after Kerry," said one of the mayor's allies at City Hall, "it'll have to be one-way."

But, but, but.....sKerry doesn't do anything just one way, everybody knows that!

One newspaper asked restaurant managers how they expected to fare during the four days of the convention. Most were pessimistic, except for one wings joint near the FleetCenter that is predicting a 75 percent uptick in business: Hooters.

It figures.
