It is not relevent to any issues I have raised.
You made a claim of the rifle's performance. What was a measure of that performance? In simpler terms, you claim the rifle was bad so how bad was it?
The rifle was not any good to begin with and its capabilities not improved by dragging it around the country in a BLANKET without recalibration of its sights at at minimum. YOU would treat any of YOUR guns like this one was treated. YOU would not try and shoot it at anything you wished to hit without it being properly cared for and without extensive practice and through familiarity with all its quirks.
Its performance was well known from WWII and generally given a poor review. As a club it might have been good. There is no real controversy as to the quality of the gun which was much like that of any cheap, war surplus rifle available in bulk for a few dollars.
Facts. Not internet rumors, Sea stories or urban legends.
If you can't post the measured MOA of that rifle, you don't have a clue what THAT rifle capable of doing.
Last chance. What was the measured capability of THAT particular rifle.
THAT rifle was not capable of doing what was claimed for it and anyone who believes a poor quality, bolt action rifle which was equipped with a mis-attached sight could have been accurately shot within a six second time frame already has his mind made up. Distractions do not change that. Nor does your refusal to address the lack of practice, lack of ammo and lack of proper handling of the rifle issues.
Since you prefer ultimatums I will reinstate my demand that you show me where and when Oswald bought ammo for it. There was never ANY shred of proof that he EVER bought ammo for the gun even if I go along with your pretense that it was a wonderful firearm which any gunlover would LOVE to have.
Until there is some shred of proof wrt that there is a HUGE hole in the LoneNutter theory.
Your or anyone else's opinion means nothing. You have shown no facts or figures on that particular rifle. You failed to provide any tests with that particular rifle. If you claim to know something you should have proved it.
You did not.
Vanunu is simply a media-savvy scumbag appealing to the lowest common denominator, the Eurabian mass audience. The European neo-peasants (media conformists) in particular eat this stuff up, more evidence that their self-declared cultural sophistication is an absurd myth, a relic from the Stone Age.
It is a FACT that this gun was not properly transported, not properly assembled and not properly practiced with. These FACTS come from the Warren Report itself. When I bring up these unpleasant FACTS you prefer to change the subject rather than address them. I will even accept your opinion.
When and where did he get ammo? When and where did he practice? How could he have shot with such deadly accuracy with a rifle whose scope could not sight the target properly without EXTENSIVE practice? Why were there NO OTHER bullets found? How could a mishandled gun do the job?
Do you drag your shooting irons around from state to state UNCASED subject to bumps and collisions with other objects as is alledged was the case with this gun?
You never served in the military. You never went through basic training. You never used a military rifle. You never qualified with military rifle. You don't know what skills it takes to qualify with a military rifle. You have this absurd notion military rifles are sighted in or in your words, "Calibrated" every time they are used.
Did I miss anything? If I did, you can have the last post. I'm through.
I have shot military rifles though not as often as you. My references to the improperly attached sight and the careless handling of the weapon and the impropriety of using a gun whose sights were not recalibrated after significant banging around come from the Warren Report testimonies by gun experts. Make up your mind, am I to believe the WCR or not? Or should I just believe what YOU think I should believe?
Your refusal to address the points I raised is duly noted.
