Millions of Americans are frustrated over the direction our country is taking. They know something is drastically wrong, but find it difficult to grasp what the real problem is. They think every crisis somehow boils down to Liberal vs. Conservative or Democrat vs. Republican. People suppose if they could just get the "right" political party into the White House, our country would be saved. I wish it was that simple, but our problem goes much deeper than that. Positive changes in our nation cannot come about unless the American people will accept the ugly truth that it doesn't matter whether our governing administration is Democrat or Republican. History shows that either way our country has continued its downward slide away from God and liberty toward atheism and socialism. Outside of a handful of "good guys", the goal of most of our politicians is to cancel our national sovereignty and replace it with an ungodly socialist world government.
We keep electing presidents that say they will "cut spending" and "get government off our backs" but of course it never happens. Most people are blind to the fact that for decades now every new administration, whether Democrat or Republican, carries on the same basic policies of the previous administration. These are the same policies that are vehemently denounced by the supposed "rival" party until they get elected to office. Suddenly the "old" policies from the last administration that we were told were so bad for us, become the "new" policies of the current administration and are good for us.
Remember "Hillarycare?" During her husband's administration, Hillary Clinton proposed a massive plan for socialized medicine in America that was severely criticized. We heard how horrible this plan was and how it would bankrupt the country. Then along came President George W. Bush and lo and behold socialized medical programs were passed with little criticism. "Capitalism Magazine" calls President Bush's expansion of Medicare at its core premise "an exact application of the Clinton health care philosophy."[1] It seems all we need to do is put a Republican label on a bill and then it's OK! Republicans call it "compassionate conservatism", but it is socialism just the same.

Call me stupid but I can't tell ~what~ this article actually says. ;~D
Agreed. I'm very displeased with Bush's policies on socialized health care, immigration, and trade. If there wasn't so much at stake at this election through a Kerry win I would vote for the Constitution Party. Too bad that's not the case.
Read later.
The Medicare prescription program benefits few elderly. With a $350 million -- whoops, make that $500 billion -- budget, it is a Jobs-For-Life program for bureaucrats, complete with $4000-a-month pensions at the end.
a. Terrorism, and
b. Appointment of more liberal activist judges
I would be casting my vote for the Constitution Party candidate. I'm almost cynical enough to believe that the Administration is using the War on Terror like Big Brother's perpetual wars in "1984". At times the similarities are chilling.
We have troops in something like 117 countries right now. To protect America? BS To make money for special friends is more like it.
Be careful. Bush has an "R" next to his name, so we have to praise on this board him no matter what he does or suffer the wrath of the mindless minions who gladly embrace socialism when it is fed to them by the party that appears on their voter registration card.
And Nixon went to China.
The President has my deep, sincere respect, however I don't believe any man on the face of the earth should be free from criticism.
He holds the most important position in our society but that doesn't make his administration free from errors.
I am not one who will bow down to mindless minions who follow a Party without thinking about what direction they are being led in.
There is a cliff just over the horizen and it is not well lit up.
Well said. Unfortunately, there is a vocal minority who do not hold your view and try to stifle intelligent discourse.
When one of the Party sheeple attempt to disrupt a debate I have found it easiest to just ignore whatever they post, just skipping right on over the intrusions.
After a few attempts they realize they are being ignored and move on to someone who will respond them.
Maybe that's how the name calling on forums originated. LOL
One world goverment is prophecied about in the book of Daniels, Isiah and Revelations. It gets fairly descriptive in detail and accurate.
According to scripture, one world goverment control is firmly established under anti-christ and lasts 3 1/2 years. It starts out looking very promising but then major attrocities begin being commited and the Christ returns to end it.
Revelations says Christ and those on earth chosen to do battle with the beast. I take this literally to mean a massive rebellion against the attrocities which causes the one world anti-christ goverment to collapse and then a 1,00 year reign of peace.
The United Nations is as anti-christ as you can get. Lets just cancel our support and membership before TSHF?
Let the fighting occur in other countries.
The Lord gave us a brain to use, not to beg for assistance from Him while we sit on our butts.
I think you'll be surprised. Even those of us who love GW, see his flaws. I'm NOT happy about the No Child Left Behind program or the immigration issue (especially as I'm living in Ariona at the moment) and I don't think he's done enough to "roll back" government. I am happy that he's kept us out of the worst UN treatys and I think he's done right by the military. (I know we're doing better in the army under Bush than with clinton.)
No, he's not as agressive as I'd like to see, but he's much better than the alternative.
BTW, hubby and I are planning on retiring in Texas in a couple of years. How's the freedom over there? (re: homeschooling, building and developing private land as you see fit, guns, etc)
Excellent on all accounts. I have never lived in Arizona, but compared to Connecticut where I grew up, it is heaven.
