Alouette-

I wish you and your son a safe flight. I believe that you'll be fine.

Allow me to use a bit of levity to make you feel better.

If you're flying Northwest, I think you'll have more to fear from a surly flight attendant than a member of Al-Qaeda!

I think the aggrevation and frustration of flying NW Airlines will take your mind off of any other concerns...;^)

Just clicked on the link and found the story of Annie Jacobson and the Syrian ambassador guy. All of that was new information to me. Thanks for posting it. Praying for your flight.

I hate flying...even before 9/11...I have no patience and will show no tolerance to anyone screwing around...having said that, my father used to joke with me (and I will probably get in trouble for saying this...but) My father would tell me to pack my own bomb...he said "what are the odds of there being two bombs on your flight?"

OK...thats my attempt at humor....have a terrific flight...you wiil be fine. I fly Northworst often and actually they are pretty good.

Please pray that we have a safe trip to LA and a safe journey back to Detroit.

I pray for your safety...but I pray also that you and everybody on the plane, in the event of the unspeakable, remember Samson.

There are worse things than death. But sometimes, there are better things than another moment or two of life.

Shalom.

Except for those who would murder us all.

Hope you see this in time. If you do see more than one or two Arab men on the plane, GET OFF!

But most of all, be careful in LA! That place is crazy!

Blessings and enjoy the trip. Airport security has come lightyears since just a couple years ago. I feel much safer on the planes in America now.

But they still have a nail clipper fetish.

Last time I went through they saw my Middle-Eastern visas and I got pulled out of the line for a serious search. They may not racialy profile, but they sure ME profile. Their wands were so sensitive it found a tiny bit of foil gum wrapper in a back pocket that survived the washer about a dozen times. There was not enough metal in it to plug a filling.

Makes for much safer flying...
