NRA ALERTS WRONG! .50 BAN STILL ALIVE!
e-mail | 08-02-04 | Michael Marks - President, Fifty Caliber Institute

Posted on 08/02/2004 4:15:34 PM PDT by TexasCowboy

Urgent FCI Alert:,

"As you know, we've been fighting a 50 ban in California every year. FCI and other gun rights groups, including the National Rifle Association, have been successful so far, but a ban is slowly working its way through the legislature.

The California Senate Appropriations Committee is scheduled to have a hearing on AB-50 on Wednesday, August 4th. This committee is responsible for funding California government operations. And despite the massive debt facing California, despite the broken budgets of California's public safety agencies, the legislature is still considering ordering California's public safety agencies to waste even more money on one of the world's most ridiculous gun control schemes.

AB-50 would require California to make major alterations to their 'Assault Weapons' registry, to include a variety of odd provisions for fifty caliber owners. We've seen Canada waste more than a billion dollars on failed computer registry schemes, now Hollywood liberals want to import this mess to California.

But that doesn't stop crazy anti-gun liberals, there's no limit to how much taxpayer money they can waste in the name of promoting useless gun control. Not only does California law enforcement have to waste money on a gun control database for fifty caliber target rifles, but they have to undertake a PR campaign to promote the new gun control law.

This logic could only make sense in Hollywood - let's take away tax money for all Californians to waste on an imaginary problem, and then let's hire our PR pals in Hollywood to promote it!

You don't have to be a fifty owner to be outraged at this nonsense in Sacramento. Please pass this on to your friends and urge them to contact the Appropriations Committee. Tell them not to waste California's precious dollars on failed gun control schemes and OPPOSE AB-50."

"Well, I ain't gonna give up my guns, not to anybody, ever. And thats about all I got to say about that."

That should have been Tom Hank's line in that movie, but Hollywood would have cut it.

We should declare ourselves a minority group and declare this nonsense as hate speech!

We are (but not by much) and it is.

I believe you are confusing the "need for a .50 caliber" with the "RIGHT to own a .50 caliber.

I probably sound more like Forrest Gump than Tom Hanks did anyway, what with having grown up in The Heart of Dixie, and all.

And you need a 50 caliber weapon--why?

Do I have to declare a need to own a 160 mph car? Do I need a Vette? Do I need a handgun that has a bullet diameter only 5 hundredths smaller than the God-forbid .50? The .45 is only a tiny step away from that kind of ignorance that the gun grabbers so love to nurture.

.50 BMG AR-15 Style Upper Receiver "The BOSS" is an AR-15 style .50 BMG non-serialized upper receiver assembly that fits any standard AR-15 lower receiver. Since this is just the upper receiver assembly, no FFL is needed to purchase or receive one for your AR-15. We start with a standard 36" match grade barrel that is custom machined and chambered to our specifications. The barrel threads into our patent pending barrel extension and then onto a DPMS heavy upper receiver. We then install our custom two-chamber muzzle brake and Harris bipod to make this a truly amazing gun to shoot!

This battle will never end. We've got to make sure our kids and grandkids are prepared to fight this battle.

I'm sure this one will be ready and won't falter. Probably be President around 2044 or so.

Heck, Gato! Logan was using the bolt on the .50 for a teething ring!

His mother was a champion shooter, and probably still is!
I don't think there's any doubt where Logan's allegiance will lie.
