Bill O'Reilley is an ally, not a friend.

Bill O'Reilley is an ally, not a friend.

O'Reilly is not an ally, he is a P. T. Barnum.

He strategically charts out extreme positions that are all over the map.

That way, sometimes one of his positions matches yours, and you say "I like this guy!"

Two minutes later he takes a polar opposite position on another issue, but it takes a long time to notice the pattern.

O'Reilly is a ratings whore, period.

I believe this assessment to be very correct. He cannot help but be a bit on the side of the right if he remains truthful. In other words, as long as he at least appears to be concerned with facts and truths - he'll have no choice other than to help us with our cause. Conservatives are just naturally more truthful than libs. And I do believe Bill is less prone to spinning than all of the others combined.

There is another angle to this. They may be playing this game knowing full well that it is making them appear more liberal sympathetic these days, right down to the donations, etc., ... but in turn it may be taking some of the heat off of them.

Hannity is not letting up. Neither are any of the others as far as I can tell - not "The Friends," not Shep and not Brent of Neil or John either for that matter. So we should still trust Fox for Fair and Balanced.

O'Reilly is only in it for himself. He thinks what good for him is good for the USA. He is starting to believe his own hype. He needs to learn some humility--How can you be fair and ballanced when you have an ego the size of the Empire State Building? He's an allie-- the same way Saudi Arabia is our Allie. He says he hates France--Now he's acting like France! Have another sip of wine Bill, and relax.
