It is an amazing story but also sad when you think about how many people will think this a negative.

It's clear that the president wants to be accepted as just another American citizen on as many levels as feasible; no imperious king he. In turn, so many people appreciate his accessibility, his genuine friendliness, his sincerity -- all of which go a long way in compensating for his shortcomings, not that they are egregious ones, but rather the shortcomings of any human being.

I have a great deal of respect for this woman's restraint. If it were me, I'd probably scream and then faint like a teenage girl at a Beatles concert.

"There is a peace and a 'Godliness' about him."
That is why the Adversary (and his minions in the Demoncratic Party) hate him - that is why it is such an irrational hate, because it emanates from the same place as child sacrifice, pornography and Islam.

Just a note. This is a fairly old email making the rounds.

President Bush is going to be a great asset to our country for the rest of his life, not just the rest of his Presidency. There are no other living Presidents close to his league.

Not to be a nattering nabob of negativity or anything, but a very similar story was published in 2001, especially the part where the president was behind that author at the greeting and made a special effort to make contact after the normal period for greeting had ended.
I'm not saying it couldn't have happened twice to two different people over the course of a few years. I'm just saying I have heard this story before.

Wow! What a coincidence!!! I was in my local PoRnO shop last week and noticed a particularly "active" large individual behind a curtain and when that person realized I'd taken an interest in him the curtain opened and out popped Ex-Prez Clinton!!!

This man notices the little things and CARES! He knew she had not crowded in to meet and greet him at the appropriate time alloted this at the service, so when he sat down, he leaned forward and touched her, taking her hands in his, and passing the peace.
I love this man.
This letter says more about his character than anything I can imagine...right down to where he tells her at the communion rail, no, you stay here, I'll go around the corner to kneel.
God Bless you President Bush, I love you.
