I am going to post this here because I need as many eyes to see this as possible in hopes someone will know where I can find the following PDF that was removed from Kerry's web site after only two weeks. I am crossing my fingers someone may have downloaded the following file and kept a local copy of it:
Spot Reports for January, 1969 (pdf: 2.4MB)
Filename should be: SpotReports_January1969.pdf
Oh please, someone tell me they have it!
Scratch the last ping... he found it.
December 2, 1968
Kerry experiences first intense combat; receives first combat related injury.
December 6, 1968
Kerry moved to Coastal Division 11 at An Thoi on Phu Quoc Island
December 13, 1968
Kerry moved to Coastal Division 13, Cam Ranh Bay
December 24, 1968 Kerry involved in combat during the Christmas Eve truce of 1968. The truce was three minutes old when mortar fire exploded around Lieutenant Kerry and his five-man crew. Reacting swiftly, John Kerry and his crew silenced the machine gun nest.

Wait. Cam Ranh Bay? Was the Christmas action on the coast, away from the Mekong delta? If so this makes the Cambodia story even crazier.
76 - "For a detailed look at Kerry's assignments you can go to Fitrep Analysis. It "
good analysis. Officer Evaluations during those periods were more informative for what they left out than what they put it. - and a lot was left out.

"CASUALTIES: FRIENDLY - WIA - JOHN F. KERRY, USNR... ENS THORSON, EUGENE K, USN... ENEMY: NONE"
good catch. Thanks for posting it.
Thank you for posting this.
I recommend a small piece of software called WinHTTrack, which will d/l copies from an entire URL and all its associated links.
The program can be (and probably should be) customized in what it downloads, otherwise bad usage could end up in filling your hard drive.
I'm sure it can be found on CNET or somewhere else quickly and easily. I once used it to archive an internal page for reference here at work when I'm traveling.
Good luck.
And for you linux users, 'wget' or 'curl' will mirror a website ("X" layers deep, you pick "X") in fine order.
Why can't I read it?
bump to check on tomorrow...
bump to print tomorrow
I looked at that several times until I reached the conclusion the enemy none referred to casualties...not that there was no enemy...
bump to track this....
When a politician speaks in the House or Senate, he usually requests permission to "revise and extend my remarks." This is routine, a formality, and I have never seen an objection to it. Then the written speech goes in the record, which may be the exact opposite of what the cameras showed on CSPAN -- and also, once the speech has been given, he can change it on the record.
So what's in the Congressional Record was not necessarily said on the floor of Congress. Slick, eh?

Why hasn't the Kerry campaign posted all his records, they have them and have referred to them in an attempt to discredit Dr. Letson..
The documents do not include, however, a report explaining how Mr. Kerry received the wounds that led to his first Purple Heart.
To back up Mr. Kerry's injury claims leading to that award, campaign spokesman Michael Meehan showed the Associated Press at the Kerry campaign headquarters a "Sick Call Treatment Record" dated Dec. 9, 1968.
That document, which the campaign would not release or allow to be copied, said: "Shrapnel in left arm above elbow. Shrapnel removed and appl bacitracin dressing. Ret to Duty," according to the Associated Press.
