What bunch of whackos. California liberals tried to feed us ebonics in the mid-nineties until cooler (more reasonable and intelligent) heads prevailed.The best line I ever heard dismissing ebonics came from a black friend of mine; "I've never known a black person who couldn't understand what they're saying on television."

I spent a great deal of my life in kalifornia. Didn't think of it as silly and stupid until:
Went to college in Texas,
Became a Christian,
Joined the Marine Corps,
Met president Reagan,
Read "FRIDAY" by Robert Anson Heinlein,
Read "THE PROBABILITY BROACH" by L. Neil Smith
Retired from the Marine Corps,
Etc etc etc..........
