What does his fsther's past have to do with him? If your father is a Muslim, then you must be labelled a Muslim even if you practice another religion? Is Islam a race? Unless the columnist can show that Barack himself is a Muslim who is pretending to be Christian (not his father, siblings, etc.) , then this is silly. The goat herder lie is the only one that is interesting to me, sort of like Edward's "son of a mill worker" claim when his father was the manager.

Well, I knew that he was Muslim, but I didn't know the rest. I was shocked at the religious undertone of his speech and the evangelist type style, that I felt was intentional deception.

I have read online that Obama has said his stepfather was a "non-practicing muslim." He says he father was "agnostic."
Obama claims that his name Barack is Swahili. I must say, it certainly sounds Islamic. I don't know anything about the Swahili language.
Everything in this article appears plausible, although I cannot say for certain.
I announced the same to a room full of family and friends while he was speaking at the convention. No one had to tell me. I recognized it from his name. I made the statement that he seemed to be concealing his heritage.
