I just spoke with a friend who lives in Baltimore and is "in the know" about the word on the street and local politicians.

Seems there's a buzz on the street that recently fired Police Chief Norris and Mayor O'Malley used to travel and party together. "Party together" meaning they were each "interacting" with various females - including news media types. In fact the word this week is that O'Malley "interacted" with a black female news reporter from TV Channel 2-WMAR who recently delivered HIS twins!! She has moved to NY where it's rumored she's working for Mayor Blomberg. Also on the street is that O'Malley's wife has moved out of the family home.

If any or all of this is true, it should blow politics in Baltimore apart. Are there any MD freepers out there who can validate any of this? I will add that my source is very reliable.

The reporter in question worked for WBAL TV 11 and now works for ABC7 in NYC. She's listed on 7's website. Don't know if she worked for Bloomberg.

I heard she had twins, but I've also heard she had one child.

This rumor has been around for over three years ... and the identities of the anchorwoman (and the affiliate) AND the alleged father change every few months. At least seven anchorwomen in Baltimore have supposedly had the mayor's kids, or a police commissioner's kid, or a local professional athlete's kids ... too bad "The X Files" was cancelled ... Spooky Mulder was probably the only one who'd pay any attention ...

Did you know SB was hit by hit and run driver while covering a story in NJ a few weeks back: Knocked ten feet in the air, hospitalized, but is expected to be fine. They never have caught the driver. This news added a lot of fuel to the current fire.

Also heard this recently from someone who works in Baltimore. Curious that another so called Irish "Catholic" might not be holding fast to marital vows. Sade Baderinwa is reportedly recovering from being hit by a car in N.Y.

And to those who replied questioning why I would post rumors and the fact that I live over 1000 miles away........I'm from MD, go back frequently and have family and many friends living there. As to why I would post a rumor ---- I have always found FreeRepublic the best place to find the truth. Who better to ask than freepers? I'm searching for the accurate story - not just spreading rumors as some have implied.

(1010 WINS) (NEW YORK) Channel 7 news anchor and reporter Sade Baderinwa is hospitalized in stable condition today, after she was hit by a car while covering the flooding in Hackensack Friday night.

The driver fled the scene and is still at large.

WABC-TV says two photographers were working with Baderinwa when she was struck. They had minor injuries, and were treated and released.

Baderinwa joined Eyewitness News in 2003 and is co-anchor of the 5 p.m. newscast and a reporter for the 11 p.m. news.

I can't validate any details but I can say I just heard the same comments re: womanizing from a Federal Government source. Also the fact that the O spends many hours working out in local gyms to keep that buff physique the ladies like, not to mention his lame Irish band (maybe he should spend more time fixing the broken/corrupt school sysytem).

Norris was not fired he was indicted by the U.S. federal prosecutor Tom DiBaggio. There was rumors circulating about our Former Police Commissioner Ed Norris spending City funds to host and entertain extramarital affairs around July 2003. Mayor O'Malley of Baltimore started a full fledged investigation and found almost nothing wrong or nothing missing and cleared Ed Norris. Ed Norris was appointed by O'Malley from New York City, New York personally as well as most of his staff is from New York as well.

U.S. Attorney Tom DiBaggio was not satisfied with this investigation and was tipped off by insiders that city money was being misused. The U.S. investigation found that Norris stole and misused nearly $25,000.00 of City funds on extramarital affairs including hotel rooms, lingerie, dinners, rendezvous to New York, etc............

Norris stated he was innocent until a major plea bargain was made which no one knows what the details included or who if anyone else was involved. There is still about $13,000.00 still unaccounted for from this fund.

This is about the time frame that the rumors of O'Malley started to appear and spread. Right after that is when the Baltimore school missing funds story was breaking as well. That involved Carmen Russo who left before her contract was up and now resides in Florida.

The rumors picked up pace when the woman in question was transferred from the Baltimore news station to the New Jersey news station own by the same person Bill Fine ( I think that is how you spell his last name).

Oh, I almost forgot that Ed Norris was just released from Federal Prison about 2 weeks ago and has to spend 6 months of home detention in Florida. After his home detention he will be back here in Baltimore to serve 500 hrs. of community service.

Also at this time our other ex-Police Commissioner right after Norris, Kevin Clark (again appointed personally by O'Malley from New York again) is suing Baltimore for $120 million for wrongful termination.This stems from another investigation that O'Malley launched that cleared Clark fully then tried to hide the results of the investigation.
O'Malley had to be sued to have the results published and lost.As soon as the results were released by the courts, O'Malley who cleared and praised Clark less then 2 weeks earlier fired Clark for incompetence. There was from Clarks own words that at the time of his firing he was investigating a case that involved a member of O'Malley's staff that involved porn on a city computer.

I knew Eddie when he was a police commissioner here in NYC. (before Baltimore) I lost touch with him around 1999 or so.

I read alot of the articles on the $$$ he took...some of the stories say it was a fund that was more of an "expense account" type set up and Eddie was not using it any differently then the commissioners before him...I wonder what the truth is?

(I'm not saying that using it for partying and lingerie for GF's on the side is right, just wondering if we have all the facts on this - sounds like someone really had it in for him. ...fwiw I didnt even know Eddie was married until several MONTHS after I met him.)
