"Dear Mrs. Robinson"--(Let's cut the crap)
8/14/04 | redrock--(Some old guy in Utah)

Dear Mrs. Robinson,

Since I served 4 months in Vietnam...I am an expert in the behaviour and conduct of American Servicemen and women.

Your son, Sgt. James W. Robinson Jr., was a baby-killer...a rapist...a person who tortured innocent Viet-Cong and North-Vietnamese soldiers (who were ONLY fighting for freedom from the war-mongering Americans). When I came back from Vietnam (where in only 4 months I managed to get 3 Purple Hearts...a Bronze Star...and a Silver Star..showing just how wonderful I am) I told the world about your son. I sat there before Congress and told them about how your son raped and tortured..and did so because that is how America is. That is what America does.

You should be proud, and relieved, that your son died in Vietnam...before I could become President and make sure he was punished.

Signed,

John F. Kerry

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Let's cut the crap.

This is how John Kerry views the American Soldier.

This is what he told the world about those serving in Vietnam.

This is how he will view those serving in Iraq now.

Leopards do NOT change their spots.

No self-respecting Veteran, of ANY war, can support such as John Kerry.

P.S. The REAL actions, and a small insight into the heart and soul of the American Soldier, is as follows:

For conspicuous gallantry and intrepidity in action at the risk of his life above and beyond the call of duty. Company C was engaged in fierce combat with a Viet Cong battalion. Despite the heavy fire, Sgt. Robinson moved among the men of his fire team, instructing and inspiring them, and placing them in advantageous positions. Enemy snipers located in nearby trees were inflicting heavy casualties on forward elements of Sgt. Robinson's unit. Upon locating the enemy sniper whose fire was taking the heaviest toll, he took a grenade launcher and eliminated the sniper. Seeing a medic hit while administering aid to a wounded sergeant in front of his position and aware that now the 2 wounded men were at the mercy of the enemy, he charged through a withering hail of fire and dragged his comrades to safety, where he rendered first aid and saved their lives. As the battle continued and casualties mounted, Sgt. Robinson moved about under intense fire to collect from the wounded their weapons and ammunition and redistribute them to able-bodied soldiers. Adding his fire to that of his men, he assisted in eliminating a major enemy threat. Seeing another wounded comrade in front of his position, Sgt. Robinson again defied the enemy's fire to effect a rescue. In so doing he was himself wounded in the shoulder and leg. Despite his painful wounds, he dragged the soldier to shelter and saved his life by administering first aid. While patching his own wounds, he spotted an enemy machinegun which had inflicted a number of casualties on the American force. His rifle ammunition expended, he seized 2 grenades and, in an act of unsurpassed heroism, charged toward the entrenched enemy weapon. Hit again in the leg, this time with a tracer round which set fire to his clothing, Sgt. Robinson ripped the burning clothing from his body and staggered indomitably through the enemy fire, now concentrated solely on him, to within grenade range of the enemy machinegun position. Sustaining 2 additional chest wounds, he marshaled his fleeting physical strength and hurled the 2 grenades, thus destroying the enemy gun position, as he fell dead upon the battlefield. His magnificent display of leadership and bravery saved several lives and inspired his soldiers to defeat the numerically superior enemy force. Sgt. Robinson's conspicuous gallantry and intrepidity, at the cost of his life, are in keeping with the finest traditions of the U.S. Army and reflect great credit upon the 1st Infantry Division and the U.S. Armed Forces.

Sgt. Robinson was awarded the Medal of Honor for his actions.

His name can be found on Panel 06E....Row 103 of that Black Granite Wall in Washington D.C.

the American people are beginning to understand this.

You might be right, but the puzzling thing is why Democrats would even think of running such a candidate.

Kerry is an unserious candidate. It's hard to believe that half of America will vote for this guy regardless of his total lack of qualifications for the job.

Sgt. Robinson's story has me weeping frustrated tears that scum like Kerry not only survive, but rise to the top on the dead bodies of heroes.

What have we become as a nation that we even consider poseurs like JF'nK as leaders?

Thank you redrock - awesome post. MAN I love the MOH Stories. Those men were/are amazing. Thank God for them all. Kerry is nowhere NEAR their league despite his ill-gotten awards.

EXCELLENT READ PING!!

Do I detect a hint of sarcasm?

What's sad is that Kerry ACTUALLY believes that his 4 months...make him an expert.

Now that is true heroism. Not only putting your own life on the line for your men and the mission, but doing so with utter disregard for your own safety. All Kerry had was total regard for his political career.

Kerry isn't entitled to even be mentioned in the same breath as this HERO.

Thank you for all you suffered for the sake of your men, Sgt. Robinson. You are an American HERO and we shall not let scum like Kerry ever be in command of our brave service members out of respect for heroes like you!

we can't acces Bush's record, because it was conveniently lost during the Clinton administration

I thought Bush's record was totally released months ago. I didn't hear anything about anything lost.

There's an old Bill Cosby joke in which he tells how he drove off some guys that wanted to beat him up, by telling them "Don't mess with me I've seen a Bruce Lee movie and I know the yell." That's what this reminds me of.
