Guiltess Grill? Amusing (profane)Rant on Annoying Vegetarians

I was looking over a menu in a restaurant the other day when I saw a section for vegetarians; I thought to myself "boy, I sure am glad that I'm not a meat-hating fascist" and I skipped on to the steak section (because I'll be damned if I'm going to pay $15 for an alfalfa sandwich, slice of cucumber and a scoop of cold cottage cheese), but before I turned the page something caught my eye. The heading of the vegetarian section was titled "Guiltless Grill," not because there were menu items with fewer calories and cholesterol (since there were "healthy" chicken dishes discriminated against in this section), but because none of the items used animal products. Think about that phrase for a second. What exactly does "guiltless grill" imply? So I'm supposed to feel guilty now if I eat meat? S**** you!

Gotta love that PETA response.
"First, we, and animals rights
advocates in general, are primarily concerned with preventing the suffering
of living animals."

My husband hunts down animals and kills them. Then, we all eat them. Yummy.
We raise our own meat, eggs and milk.
When an animal no longer is useful, we eat it, too! Yummy!
I used to swerve for small animals, but PETA has got me trying to go out of my way hit them. Splat! That's counted as one point.
PETA can bite me, and my venison sandwich.
If they keep annoying people with their nonsense, people will hunt more just for the fun of it all. What people chose to eat is none of their busy body business.

I agree with much of what he says but, the writer's crass writing and whiny attitude give conservatism (and meat eaters) a bad name.

I don't think that Maddox is a conservative given what he says about Bush.
The author of this piece is one of those people who hates everything and everyone. He's a very sad individual who does nothing but spit venom at people to get attention.

The issues of many vegetarians have nothing to do with animal rights, PETA folks are simply wrong by demanding rights for animals on the level of humans.
The writer has missed some points however on why some people prefer vegan (alfalfa sandwich without cheese). Most if not all farm raised livestock is full of antibiotics, so that antibiotics now used for humans are not as effective as once were because of the tolerance developed by bacteria stains to be more and more immune, this due to over use and consumption. Furthermore, livestock is full of hormones for growth and fast reproduction all of which by eating meat ourselves we take in , and wonder why there are so many overweight and sterile people thse days. Substandard feed is often used, all of which by eating meat ourselves we take in and collect these toxins.
Meat can be healthy if raised correctly and is even sanctioned by scriptures of old, however; plants were the first food according to God's Covenant With Noah;
Genesis 9 ::
3 Everything that lives and moves will be food for you. Just as I gave you the green plants, I now give you everything.
Feel free to disagree, everyone has his or her own nutritional needs, there is no such thing as a generalized diet that will work for everyone. Yet, it is true some people eat vegetarian for other reasons besides the false issues of animal rights.

I'm not a vegetarian, so I guess that means both of these "items" are on the menu?

Buddy of mine who's a chef bought a dehydrator last year, and made venison jerky with it. The first batch was over-dehydrated . . . it was like venison glass. You had to smack it on the table to break it into finger-size chunks, then (I know, I know) kinda gnaw on the chunk until it was chewy.
His other batches, though, have been unbelievably good.

I've made it a point of honor and good taste never to eat a living animal; I've got a hard enough time dealing with Jello falling off the plate.

Actually, I don't mind the font. It's alot easier on my eyes, but that might only be a problem in the first place because I have my resolution turned up really high.
