Just a little aside. Well-known pro golfer wears SAP on his hit...in fact, he was wearing it yesterday. Not sure what the P stands for, but the SA is South Africa.

Yes, doodlelady, is there a link that shows your sign and some of your work (hint, hint)? I've been privileged enough to see some of your great work, but I would like other FReepers to see your talent as well.

Coming from NJ, your statement of a Conservative coffee shop/bookstore owner, passing on FR copies, and selling "Unfit for Command", is unimaginable, unfathomable. Well that and it's really early Sunday morning. If you don't mind, could you tell us what state you live? I need to move, NJ is beyond the friggin pale.

I'm here in Missouri and the coffee shop owner is a young man of Puerto Rican descent, ex-military. He ordered 10 copies of "Unfit for Command" which a huge amount for him. When Clinton's book came out, he ordered three. (Two sold, one is still sitting over on the shelf)

This area is very pro-Bush because of a nearby military post. I just ordered 100 Bush/Cheney bumper stickers which I think will be a very popular item.
I'm also proud to say that the Marriage Amendment (one man + one woman) was voted in by Missourian with a 71% to 29% "landslide", but my little county (Pulaski County) did even better than the state average with 83% to 17%. There are actually 'conservative Democrats' here who voted against gay marriage.

If sentiment is that strong for Bush in the heartland, isn't it possible that some reps and senators will ride in on his coat tails? Mightn't the Republican majority increase rather than shrink, as the lamestream media are predicting?

I think so, too. Here in Iowa, the Republicans now control both the House of Reps and the Senate. And our guv is a Democrat (Tom Vilsack... the one Kerry considered for Veep). With Bush growing stronger, Kerry weaker, things are REALLY heating up with internal Iowa politics as well.
