Yes, that guy was at least loyal to his friend.

Did you hear the part about where he was in a restaurant with Amber and her brand-new baby? He got up to go to the bathroom, and when he returned, two women (whom neither he nor Amber knew) were screaming at Amber about her being a homewrecker. With the baby sitting (lying?) right there!

I've seen him do quite a few interviews on various shows the past several days. His name is Dean and he met Amber, dated briefly in the mid 90's, and remained good friends.
He seems to be an okay guy, but I remember a request from Amber, way back, that she wished her friends to stay out of the media hype.
Maybe he was waiting for her to take the stand?

RB thanks for all the pings, trying to keep up & not here as much as I'd like to be. I was glad to see the guy stick up for Amber, she seems to be well liked & not the sleaze so many try to portray her as. I think she is coming off quite the lady on the tapes & in court.
