Papers want to unseal Sen. Heinz estate records
Pittsburgh Tribune-Review ^ | August 18, 2004 | Eric Heyl

Two newspapers want a judge to unseal the estate records of the late Sen. H. John Heinz III, contending the documents possibly could shed light on Massachusetts Sen. John Kerry's presidential campaign.

The Morning Call of Allentown and the Los Angeles Times petitioned Allegheny County Court to make the records public. Common Pleas Administrative Judge Frank Lucchino has scheduled a Sept. 14 hearing on the request.

The day after (PA Senator) John Heinz died, Common Pleas Judge Nathan Schwartz ordered that all documents in the senator's estate be shielded from public view. The court edict did not reveal why the records were sealed and did not indicate a hearing was held on the matter.

Probate records generally are public information in Pennsylvania. The newspapers' petition states the public has a constitutional right to inspect such records.

It's about time. So when is anyone in the media going to take an interest in opening up Kerry's divorce records?

Here's a guess,
Terayza is not the true heir, but one of the sons. She is found to be guilty of mega grand theft and sent to prison

"We believe it is an unwarranted invasion of the privacy of the family and an affront to the memory of the late senator," Bschorr said. "The executors will continue to vigorously oppose this application."

Affront to the memory of the late senator? The biggest possible affront to Republican Senator John Heinz's memory is his widow using his money to keep an ultra liberal Democrat in luxury and he's even running for presidency with the aid of John Heinz's money. Now that is an affront.

A worse affront: the money is also being used to fund the Tides Foundation, and from there it goes to everything from anti-war groups to outright socialist groups. (Was that redundant?)

the kerry campaign is one of the most secretive in history, imo.

1. they refuse to unseal the documents to the heinz foundation

2. they refuse to disclose finances for the campaign and t's contributions

3.they refuse to disclose john kerry's military records.

anything else?

The same company owns both newspapers.

I am, however, surprised that the Morning Call would be doing this. Its not like them to rock a democrat boat.

These old media newspapers aren't going after John Kerry, they're going after the late Senator Heinz, a good Republican.

Tax records. Mrs. Heinz-Kerry won't release her tax records in full, and has apparently never been asked for them before this year (by the coddling NE press).

Citizenship. Is Mrs. Heinz-Kerry a U.S. citizen (still), and does she still maintain dual citizenship with Mozambique?

Enron. When did the Kerry's and their trusts sell their Enron stock, and when did Ken Lay resign from running one of their trusts?

Outsourcing. How many outsourcing trips did Senator Kerry lead to China and India?

I was wondering about the Allentown paper. Something about this just doesn't sound right. I would predict that there is some provision in the will that makes Kerry sound not as rich as he seems, so that he can better claim to be one of the little people, afterall.
