This event takes place less than two months before the presidential election and we are using the power of arts and activism to motivate and inspire all women, especially young women to raise their voices and get out the vote. To be the first to hear when tickets go on sale, sign up for V-mail at http://www.vday.org/vmail. The "V" in V-Day stands for Victory, Valentine and Vagina - and through November 2nd, for VOTE! Jane and Kathy and Gloria and Julia and Susan throw their ...support behind more nonsense. I bet they're dismayed that they didn't get the Dixie Chicks before they signed on to run with Springsteen.
Unmarried women are the LARGEST group of people not participating in our democracy. Sixteen million unmarried women are unregistered; more than 22million didn't vote in 2000.
Parents, make sure you're aware if your daughters are being thrown this stuff at school. For purposes of gun control, socialists consider 19-year-old gangbangers children, but for purposes of getting your daughter to join their vote, there can be little doubt that 18-year-old high schoolers (and of course college girls) are "unmarried women."
Tickets for the event -- which will close the four-day Omega and V-Day Women and Power: Our Time To Lead conference -- are priced at $15, $25 and $40 and are available via Ticketmaster.
"Penises at the Polls, Men like Bush"
Well, how 70's. Are these women stuck in a timewarp?
I certainly do not consider myself just a vagina. Good grief. Why don't these dinosaurs just die.
Vaginas Vote? My God, I had no idea. What a revelation.
These people are such children.
"Vaginas Vote"--now, that's just stupid. These 'ladies' should be embarrassed.
No wonder they always pull the wrong lever.
I watched part of Ensler's Vagina Monologues on HBO to see what all the fuss was about, and it's pretty sad that this is what passes for art these days. It was nothing more than verbal masturbation. I felt so emasculated after half an hour I had to go get drunk and pick a fight just to even myself out.
I need an update for my PC Dictionary-is it now okay again to refer to women by their anotomical characteristics? Or just to Jane Fonda?
Do you think that if anyone had had a crystal ball in 1920 the the 19th amendment would have passed? Put another way, the woman got the vote and the nation got Harding. Then Clinton.
....and as the old joke goes if most of these folks didn't have a "V" no-one would even be talking to them.
"Look, ma! I'm voting!"
How do they pull the lever?
If "V"s vote, could I get a fresh pencil if I'm next in line?
Vaginas vote?
Those new touchscreen machines must get really hard to read after a while.
*Bob - clean-up in voting booths 3, 5, 6, and 9. Bring the Windex*
Kung Fu grip action?
Gives a whole new meaning to "split ticket".
There is money and recognition in it. The left's insecurities feed on the publicity (even here on FR) and the donations received as 501-3-C, tax exempt organizations pays their bills. The "Left" is a business and a therapy, whether they want to admit it or not.
Did you mean Pres. Harding or Tonya?
oh nevermind
