DOHA (AFP) - Iranian Defense Minister Ali Shamkhani warned that Iran might launch a preemptive strike against US forces in the region to prevent an attack on its nuclear facilities.
"We will not sit (with arms folded) to wait for what others will do to us. Some military commanders in Iran are convinced that preventive operations which the Americans talk about are not their monopoly," Shamkhani told Al-Jazeera TV when asked if Iran would respond to an American attack on its nuclear facilities.

All talk, all an invition to make Shia martyrs or something. Some idiots are doing everything but waving a red flag in front of the proverbial bull. Why play their game, they're sounding desperate.
Who gives a flip about the Iranians, the idea of their capacity to hit the U.S. is ridiculous. We're already in Afghanistan and Iraq, what more can be expected? And from whom?

I looked around for this story, but didn't see it posted. Guess I "didn't look hard enough".

Hmmm,,,
",,,national skills which cannot be eliminated by military means."
Seems to me that a lot of "national skills" were eliminated in Berlin, Dresden, Tokyo, Hiroshima, and Nagasaki.
How exactly is Iran different than Germany and Japan?
Besides the language!

PLEEEEASE Do. . .

Those stupid Persians. They shanghai a few British sailors and now they think they are capable of a premptive strike against U.S. forces - in their dreams.
If they were, which I doubt, able to pull off a strike. The retaliation would be more than they could handle - at least while President Bush is in office. Kerry would probably award them all (the Iranians) Silver Stars.

Remember Pearl Harbor, Dec 7, 1941?
That was a preemptive strike!

True, but a chihuahua with a nuclear bomb still could ruin your day.

We have been threatened with 20 thousand nuclear bombs since the 50s. One or a dozen evil nukes don't measure up.

Not to worry..Kerry said he would go after those that attack us...so relax sit back and just wait for the attack...THEN we can retaliate...provided the attack doesn't wipe our @ss in the ground first!

These madmen can not be allowed to obtain nukes. They are already threatening us and Israel even before they have them. If they get nukes, Israel is finished.
This is another reason why it is so important that Kerry be defeated.
