Where is the Konigratzer March?

Banning books is no problem for the 50% of the electorate who does not read and , oh BTW, gets their news from the MSM.

Regnery --Print an order for a million. You have a blockbuster. You can't pay enough money for publicity like this.

Some Freepers were throwing around the term "jump the shark" a few weeks ago.. May be time to trot that out again if this is true.
My guess is this will turn out to be an anonymous source or some doofus thinking out loud. Kerry will backpedal on this like a crawdad runs from a Cajun with a gunny sack.

Ah...the party of free speech!
They are screwing this up soooo bad.
Saying the vets are doing GW's "dirty work."
Trying to silence the critics, get the ads off the air, and ban the book.
All this points to is that they know the truth is damaging, but it brings so much more attention to the matter than if they had just shut up.
It's like the furor before The Passion was released. Every insult in the book was thrown at the movie, and what happened....it grossed more than anyone could have expected.

But what about TOLERANCE? What about FREE SPEECH, and SPEAKING TRUTH TO POWER?
Heh heh. I love it.

Salon reported this yesterday. An excerpt citing the quote from the Kerry spokesman was posted on FR yesterday afternoon. The headline is
Unfit for Bookstores.
Drudge is a little slow on this, as is the rest of the media, but he's giving it the play it deserves.

The "new" face of the Democratic party. (Well, not really new. We've know this is where they were going for a long time).

Bookstores have entire sections devoted to the Bush bashing genre and he wants to ban one book that is difficult to find? (I got mine last night!)

I still think it HAS to be an exaggeration.
But Lord, if he actually came right out and said something like "I hope bookstores won't sell it"...
Scratch Kerry, uncover a tyrant.
To: Jewels1091
This CANNOT be the case. If Kerry's campaign is really this benighted in their approach to this book, I am completely flabbergasted. This has to be the most inept response to a book I've ever seen.
Their best bets would have been to either ignore and dismiss it completely, or to agree to release all the records and then shut up about it.
