CNN: Kerry Will File Legal Challenge to Swift Boat Veterans-Demands Immediate Suspension of Ads
NewsMax.com ^ | 8/20/04 | Carl Limbacher

CNN is reporting Friday afternoon that the Kerry campaign will file a complaint with the FEC.

Wolf Blitzer reported that the campaign will allege that the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth are illegally coordinating their efforts with the Bush-Cheney campaign.

The complaint reportedly demands that the Swiftvets immediately suspend broadcasts of commericals attacking John Kerry's Vietnam War record and return any moneys raised in conjunction with the ad campaign.

The complaint is an extension of Sen. Kerry's charge on Thursday that the Swiftvets are a "front group" for the Bush Cheney campaign, alleging that the group has broken campaign laws by coordinating their efforts with the White House.

John O'Neill, author of the book "Unfit for Command," which details the charges described in the anti-Kerry commercials, said Friday that he had no connection with the White House, adding that his group wouldn't suspend the ads even if the White House asked them too.

"This isn't his fight," O'Neill told radio host Sean Hannity. "This is between the veterans who served in Vietnam and John Kerry."

Kerry is in full panic mode.

Some polls are showing that the minority of vet support he had....is dropping.

He has only one way out of this mess. Release his entire military and medical records.

Kerry was in Florida today.
He is not the President. He is not a Florida Senator. Florida Senators and the President should be there because it is a Federal Disaster area and they all are elected officials by Florida. Kerry is not.

Kerry is play politics. Dems should be screaming about that....

"a search on the Democratic National Committee Website for the words "MoveOn.org" produces a few paragraphs that raise instant questions for Soros.

One item says, "The DNC is also conducting a major petition drive in partnership with MoveOn.org. More than 310,000 Americans have signed the petition to protect our courts - with more than 172,000 of those signatures coming in the past 36 hours. The petition calls on Bush and the Republicans to stop nominating judges that are out of step with mainstream Americans and praising the Democrats for standing up for their rights." The DNC website links the petition.

The other announcement involved what the DNC called "a massive public mobilization" in which "The Democratic Party is partnering with MoveOn.org..." to fight President Bush’s tax cuts."

Better capture this quick, or they'll remove it and swear it was never on the web site.

Whiskey, Tango, Foxtrot? What proof does Kerry have?

As far as I can tell, Bob Perry donated 200K to SwiftVets. Bob Perry donated 2K to Bush. Therefore, Bush must be controlling SwiftVets.

Some lawyer please, please, please tell me if this nutjob has a case at all.

As I pointed out many many weeks ago. John O'Neill is John Kerry's worse nightmare.

John Kerry is a lawyer but John O'Neill is a litigator!

O'Neill has approached the matter as a good litigator would. Kerry is acting like one of the many "pseudo-attorneys" that slither around. O'Neill is winning his case so far because Kerry has no rebuttal. Except to produce evidence that proves O'Neill is right.

It's a very good thing to see all these people that served this country honorably in Vietnam get a chance to clear their names.

John O'Neill and John Kerry at this stage in the fight. Kerry is the one dressed in black.

Would the Swift Vets ad be deemed "OK" if it was "tagged" on
both ends (beginning & end) as a "commercial" to promote the
sale of the book "Unfit for Command" ??

Do like mikey moore did with his movie commercial promo's, except push the sale of the book, thus taking the "527" out of it, and making it like bill & hill's books, richard clark's book, or any of the "too-many-to-list" commercially
sold ANTI-BUSH books.

For an example,I have not heard of say, Ann Coulter's recent book being a "527" undercover Bush operative with ties to the White house hiding behind the "527" mantle.

...just this freeper's VERY humble opinion, and attempt to help the Swift Vets and BC04.....

Kerry wasn't doing well against the Swiftees with his garbage, and now he's also got the POWs to contend with...

It looked like the men in the ad. that were POW's were in captivity for 7 years! 7 years! Gads! McCain was a POW for 5 years.

I wonder of McCain will say anything about the POW's in the ad? I bet not. Not anything negative that is.

If McCain doesn't say anything today, Kerry will be twisting in the wind as they say.

Well, the Swift Vets are lying because their biggest donor is a Republican from Texas.
