In Kerry's world, no one ever does anything for the sheer principle of it.

And after Kerry-Heinz is annihilated at the polls, the counter suits by Rove and company will be so sweet.
BTW, I believe that no statute of limitations exist on "war crimes" which involve the murders to which Kerry-Heinz has confessed....

I am suprised if the DUmmies let that post stay up. They usually censor anyone stepping out of the talking points. But it shows that a stopped clock is right twice a day!

I can't imagine that he's going to get any good PR out of this. People will note the hatefest launched against Bush from Moore and MoveOn.
Bush never tried to be a nazi in response. Kerry can't take the heat. What a wimp.

I've been waiting for a leak too. Kerry and his media pals would scream bloody murder, but it would signal the end for Hanoi John. The FEC complaint is a joke. Note that the headline might lead one to believe he is suing for libel--which he won't and can't do thanks to discovery.

The issue here is not the truth of the ad...in the political arena anything goes. The issue is whether the Bush Admin is collaborating with Mr. Perry, the fellow who put up the couple of hundred thou for the SBV ads (compared to the 15 or so million George Soros has committed to defeating Bush).

This is the beginning of the end for Kerry. Here he is trying to silence dissenters using the strong arm of the government, an act of censorship that the American people will recoil from; and with the accusations of collusion between President Bush and the Swift Boat Vets, he opens himself up for counter-allegations involving 527s such as MoveOn. All Kerry has succeeded in doing is give the Swift Boat Vets more air time than they ever could hope to purchase themselves, and has reacted in the worst possible way imaginable. Yes!!! I agree 100 percent.
Further, what's Kerry going to say when the FEC does NOT make the SwiftVets take their ads off?

Noticeably absent from the Waah Waah to the FEC is a civil liable suit They are not disputing the FACTS, just everything but.

Ya know, this is just a variation on their theme of legal browbeating as a campaign tactic. Bear in mind the 'band of lawyers' the RATS intend to distribute around the country to make sure this election is not 'stolen'.
For once a DUmmy is right: This is the stupidist approach to this saga that they could take. I love it.

Interesting how they made this complaint on a Friday afternoon - the traditional time to to bury news. I guess this means they want to do it, they just don't want anyone to see them doing it.
To: Faeroe
What is really great is that the Headlines we are seeing about this action calls it a legal move against the Swifties.
BUT, the dems brought this in an attempt to draw W into the fight and wanted the Headlines to characterize this as a legal action against W.
All the news coverage so far about this today on the TV has followed the same path and has resulted in enormous coverage for the Swifties and the new ad.
Nice try, sKerry.

Hmmmm, the ads must be hurting. Of course, the one thing that Kerry WANTS is for all of this to simply go away. But these actions are exactly what will bring more attention to the issue. More people will read the book and more independents and pro-vet vote will dissolve from under Kerry.

This is like a gallon of gasoline thrown on a bon fire (US Navy regulation, fire, bon-type, of course).Well, by golly, ALL of the TV news outlets (if they're doin' their job correctly) will now need to air the ad in part or in full, to report on what this newest controversy is all about.
That's too bad. But how much ya wanna bet multiple news stations & national & local levels will depart from their normal practice & simply censor the ad.
With the lawsuit, the ad is now "newsworthy," right? So watch, and be ready to complain when the news censors play into Kerry's operatives' hands.

It's surprising that a fairly accurate assessment was posted on that cess poll of a site. I didn't think anyone over there had it in them to make a reasonably intelligent comment.

On the other hand, Saturday Night Live and Jay Leno are going to have a field day with the whole Kerry-Edwards attorney at law, Kerry-Edwards legal team, Kerry-Edwards rapid litigation response force, etc.

i like it that he filed suit before the election than during the vote count as Gore did!
This is getting to be fun!
