Why the Swift Boat Vets (SBV) Cannot Lose

Why the Swift Boat Vets (SBV) Cannot Lose

The SBV have thoroughly documented their complaints.

John Kerry could quickly refute many of the SBV complaints by signing Form 180 which would make all his military records available to the public... but only if the SBV complaints are false.

If Kerry's military records further verify the SBV complaints then Kerry has a motive for not signing Form 180.

The main stream media will go to great lengths to obfuscate The Point -- explained below. Instead, they'll report on any number of A points. A points are half truths taken out of context from The Point and used to divert attention away from The Point.

Speaking of A points, the president Bush AWOL attack was an A point. And a fabrication at that. The intent was to divert attention away from the President's present day military successes in fighting terrorists and their facilitators.

The main stream media will not urge John Kerry to sign Form 180 -- releasing his military records.

If by chance the main stream media gets the upper-hand on the SBV there will still remain one glaring question. What is the SBV motive for outing or "attacking"  John Kerry? His leadership role for the Vietnam Veterans Against the War (VVAW).

Again, the only way John Kerry can counter his documented leadership role for the VVAW is to rely on his voting record as a Massachusetts Senator.

The main stream media will not be printing or airing Senator John Kerry's voting record because it as bad if not worse than his military records and VVAW leadership role.

The VVAW documentation and official military and senate voting records of John Kerry disqualify him from being President. And they most certainly disqualify him from being a war-time President.

The records on John Kerry are irrefutable proof that John Kerry is unfit for command. That's The Point.

* * *

Side note. Many well known and semi-well known personalities from the main stream media are going to lose substantial credibility as the main stream media takes a major hit from their past, present and future attempts to deceive their readers and viewers. According to their rules, it's just spin. But their audience is realigning spin with its true meaning--deception.

The primary reason the main stream media continues to defend John Kerry is not for John Kerry. Rather, it's to maintain as much of it's credibility as possible. To each media personality that became a personal battle of integrity and honesty versus power and prestige. It should be obvious that when a person, in the eyes of their audience, is viewed losing integrity and honesty they also lose their power and prestige.

Yet their saving grace is at once so simple yet seemingly horrifying.

An intriguing question: From the start, did John Kerry know that no matter how negatively things may turn that the main stream media will have in it's own best  interest to defend John Kerry?

No matter, Honesty outlives the lie. It always has and always will.

The pendulum has switched direction and is now swing toward honesty. First it will roll over the left, then the right, politics and religion simultaneously. Honesty has no bias and takes no prisoners.

Why the Swift Boat Vets cannot lose:

They can't be bought, they can't be intimidated, and they are not seeking political office, so the DIMs have nothing to offer them.

Price of Freedom
Self | 08/06/2004 | Chris Davis

Posted on 08/06/2004 7:43:31 PM PDT by writer33

Freedom isn’t cheap. It’s the most expensive asset in America. Without freedom, all other assets would become negligible. If we take a look at a balance sheet, freedom would be listed as a Long Term Asset, the kind of asset that takes years and years to pay off.

Who pays it off? The United States Armed Forces. The men and women in the military make that payment on a daily, weekly, monthly and yearly basis. Over the years, those sacrifices made have been an installment to freedom. Each deployment and death have made life in America all the more perfect. Those in uniform have provided us with a balance sheet of long term assets like no other country in the world.

We have become a superpower through the use of our U.S. Armed Forces. Each entity of those forces-Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, and Coast Guard-provide us with ample protection against enemies, foreign and domestic. Their blood has allowed the pursuit of excellence, in business, in politics, and around the world.

The freedom to make those daily choices in our lives is provided by strangers at home and in far and distant lands. Every stranger stood at a podium and took an oath to protect and defend the U.S. Constitution. Within the Constitution lie our inherent daily freedoms and rights. The rights the media loves to wave their flag at.

The media loves to tout their freedom of speech. Oh, yes, their freedom of speech, the First Amendment to the Constitution. The one they cherish so closely. The one they champion vigorously, even if it means putting our soldiers in harm’s way. No matter what it takes, the story must go forth, in accordance with the U.S. Constitution. That is their belief. That is their sentiment. It is those principles that drive them, day after day, without any regard for those that bear the responsibility for allowing that very freedom.

Liberalism and the liberal media have done more to endanger our soldiers lives than any war. Over the last ten years-Bosnia, Kosovo, and Mogadishu-are examples of bright, shining liberal causes, placing our troops in danger. All of these deployments were to foreign countries on liberal humanitarian missions. These causes were pushed heavily by the U.S. and World media. President Bill Clinton, the most liberal President since Jimmy Carter, governed all of these exercises after “The Big Media” insisted we intervene for the cause of humanity.

Recently, with the release of pictures from the Abu Ghraib prison in Iraq, the liberal media has chastised Secretary Donald Rumsfeld, President Bush, and our soldiers. Quickly, they chant fond remembrances of John Kerry’s testimony and atrocities of Vietnam.

Single-handedly, they make the likeness to the “murder of innocent women and children,” as testified by John Kerry in 1971. In their push to blame the sons and daughters of America, they point out the First Amendment to the Constitution. They identify their freedom of speech as their “cause.” The right of the American people to know. They press the story, harder and harder, making it seem as if it broke only a few short days ago. In truth, the story has been circulating since January, when the silence in the media could be compared to a small town library on Sunday afternoon.

They sit on their lofty chairs, as if they were kings, pointing their fingers at a few bad apples, and stating, “See this is what are military does. They are to blame for everything wrong in Iraq. We told you so.” In their haste, they scold the personnel responsible for giving them an opportunity to sit on their thrones.

With a few exceptions-Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Ann Coulter, Free Republic, etc…-they jeer at them in their hypocrisy. There are few media personnel and liberals today that can really appreciate the plights of our sons and daughters, brothers and sisters, and mothers and fathers. In their heyday, they spit upon my father’s generation. Now, they attempt to spit upon mine. I will not bow my head in shame.

They scream their vitriol, attempting to once again relive the Vietnam War, and forgetting that Mogadishu harmed the reputation of the U.S. Military far more than these pictures in Iraq. Liberals, and the media elite, seem to become absent-minded in their rage. They seem to misplace the demoralizing stain Mogadishu left on are Armed Forces and Special Forces. The U.S. Special Forces, among the best to serve in our military, were handcuffed like prisoners going to trial in Mogadishu. President Bill Clinton branded our military as “cowards” that cut and run, making it near impossible to earn the fear and respect of terrorists.

Now, as we approach Labor Day, a new president sits in office. President George W. Bush, a fine example of moral integrity, leads our troops in Iraq. Today, he roots out terrorism, as if it were termites invading the foundation of American homes. He sends our men and women into battle on a cause for freedom, liberating the Iraqi people from dictatorship and establishing a democracy. He apologizes for the actions of a few, but keeps his faith in our military.

Never have I felt more patriotic than on this day. Never have I been reminded of what it meant to have served this fine country. This America, the beacon of freedom for the rest of the world. And never have I been so lucky to have those individuals make sacrifices for the price of freedom.

There hasn’t been a president, like George W. Bush, since President Ronald Reagan brought us from our liberal slumber. He (Reagan) made us feel patriotic again. He made us proud to brandish the title, American. President Reagan brought excellence to business, to culture, and to our spirituality as Americans. He made us whole again. President George W. Bush follows that same legacy. He took a broken country away from President Bill Clinton and is attempting to piece it together.

President George Bush has taken a once defeated military and made them confident and strong again. He has made the price of freedom all the more worth it in the 21st Century. Today, I am a prouder American, a thriving American, and a more patriotic American than five years ago.

Despite the claims of the liberal media, I am thankful for the sons and daughters, brothers and sister, and mothers and fathers serving in our military. I am forever grateful of their sacrifices for the price of freedom. Despite a few bad apples from Abu Ghraib prison, I remain filled with honor. I have served with some of the finest individuals I’ll ever know, those that knew the price of freedom.

There's one possibility that you didn't address: their complaints could be lies. Honesty will trump you short list of reasons why the SBV cannot lose.

In your hast to respond smartly you failed to acknowledge the primary reason, by far, the SBV cannot lose -- unbiased honesty.

The points are going to be Kerry's actions after Viet Nam; Talking before the Senate and MTP, Going to Paris, meeting about killing Senators, VVAW cronies and Cambodia.

The NAM and medal stuff was just to get their attention. The After Ban stuff is so well documented Kerry can't dodge this with surrogates and shipmates.

I've been looking for an analogy to put this in its proper perspective and I think I have come up with one.

A couple of months ago, a guy was released from prison (or at least had his sentenced overturned) after video of him attending a baseball game surfaced that proved he was at the game at the time of the crime that was committed, so obviously he couldn't have committed the crime.

Imagine if his lawyer told a Judge, "I have proof my client couldn't have committed the crime he was convicted of", but then didn't produce the proof.

Would the Judge just take it a face value or would he say, "Well, where's the proof? What do you have?"

Isn't that sort of the game Kerry is playing?

Yes. This is an excellent time to start collecting clips and passages illustrating media bias for later letters to the editor, etc. The mainstream media is resorting to blatant and undisguised twists because they are so riled up right now.

ahh, nice try my friend, but we already know they are not lying. One look at the actions of Kerry campaign and the usual suspects in press tells us that much. You are right of course, but there have been plenty of honest men and women destroyed by the DIM machine. Witness the Clinton years.

The will win because they are honest, but also because they are ruthless. A lesson that would hopefully learned by some of our friends running Republican political campaigns.

They had to know when they published this story and did the ads they would be viciously smeared, and that their lives would never be quite the same again. Very brave men...again.

If so, he's totally bluffing. 'Cause from what I've read, all the valid proof, records and media documentation disqualifies/discredits him from being President.

John Kerry's a loser.

Sadly, that's a reflection of the status quo in politics -- that he could become a senator much less a candidate for President.

There was a post here last week in which it was reported the that Kerry's' capitol hill aides were bragging that "The media is committed to the election of Kerry".

I like this. Hope to hear some guests use it, "That's not spin, it's deception!"

Think back to the time when the RATs were questioning whether our President actually completed his National Guard service.

Despite not being able to find many witnesses to his service, GWB did not have anyone who served with him come out & say he was unfit for the presidency.

The vast majority of those who served with Kerry have come out and said he is unfit. This is unprecedented and very telling.

I tried nothing. It's a possibility with an astoundingly high improbability. The Point is even if they were, Kerry's records in the senate and FBI records regarding his role in the VVAW disqualify him from being President.

The will win because they are honest, but also because they are ruthless

Tenacious. Tenacity is complimentary of honesty. Ruthless is complimentary to deception.

Just heard what may be a major new story on KFI 640 out of Los Angeles, at the end of the Wayne Resnick (sp?) show.

Here it is, from memory as of a couple of minutes ago.

Former Green Beret "man overboard" LT Rassman was later a member of the LA Sheriff's dept. Not sure if he was a cop or an admin guy or what. According to the 2 hosts on KFI, "it's well known in LA news rooms" (from memory here folks, it's not a transcript) Rassman took a female subordinate to some official function in his car. She alleged some unstated impropriety occured, and he "was allowed to resign" instead of facing any charges.

This may be nothing, or something. But since "Saint Rassman" is being held up as that paragon of virtue, whose word is worth more than all of the other 254 Swift vets combined, it may be worth some exploring.

What has Rassman been doing for employment since he was "allowed to resign?"

Does he have a paid position on the Kerry campaign? Has he ever been paid by Kerry or his surrogates for his testimony about Kerry's alleged heroism in fishing him out of the river?

(*Remember, 3 or 4 other Swifties were blown out of the boat which had a mine detonate beneath it, and nobody got any medals for pulling them aboard other boats. Rassman fell off of Kerry's boat as Kerry was leaving the area at high speed, and Kerry alone got a medal.)

When the Swiftvets lose we all lose. We will see tomorrow what the postimesjournal has to say to debase the Swiftvets. From what I can tell it is going to be that the Swiftvets and Kerry both where wrong. They will attempt to undermine the Swiftvet's facts with unsubstantiated hersay and never point it out. Then of course they will point out that Bush and Rove are personally calling each and everyone of the Swiftvets and telling them what to say. The end result is the sheeple will fall back into their slumber.

A viewer would have to have their head in the sand to not notice that Bush has been attacked repeatedly and the media was complicit in the attack, but now that Kerry's been attacked, they're trying to dig up excuses to support him.

It's so transparent and blatant, that it's laughable.

Kerry supporters are happy, but the "average Joe" will know there's a huge differential in the way the press condemns Bush and defends Kerry.
