"Didn't W volunteer to fly in Vietnam? I thought I remembered something about not having enough hours in the cockpit to qualify for combat."

You did. George W Bush volunteered for flying duty in Nam but was denied because of his lack of time in the type of aircraft flown in Nam. The F102 was not in Nam.

IOW - the Kerry minions are lying again when they claim that Kerry volunteered for Nam, but Bush didn't........

Very True.

He volunteered for the Palace Alert program.

Here are some links where it is mentioned...

Last night I was thinking about how in some of the old pictures, Kerry is somewhat nice looking. But, as he has gotten older he has become quite ugly.
President Bush -- on the other hand -- was adorable back then and is still very cute. He kind of reminds me of a huggable teddy bear. *blush*
Just makes me think that living a life based on hate and a need for power can take it's toll in later years. I have noticed that a lot of liberals seem not to age well.

Well...I don't know, such lefties as Redford, Newman, and Harry Belafonte have aged quite well.

Y'all shouldn't be showing this picture...it upped the temperature in this room by about 15 degrees. Where's that window?

I PRAY that he will be President again. The thought of Tee-ray-za & Lurch in the White House makes me ill.

His dad was head of the CIA under Ford which I think would be after he was through his service time.

I think that was an absolutely brilliant move by the President. He should make more of the fact that he volunteered to fly in Nam.

I heard that he did volunteer to go but the plane he was qualified to fly was phased out so he wasn't sent

I have always loved a man in uniform....GI's, cops, firemen....sigh! My hubby is a vet of 20 years USAF, so I was lucky! ;) My dad was a 27 year veteran, and did serve in Vietnam for 18 months. He despises John Kerry and all that he stands for.
