He was also humble about his accident, until the Dems concocted the phony story about Chambliss "attacking" Cleland's patriotism in the 2002 Senate race when he only exposed him as the union-loving Dem suck-up that he is.
Cleland's sitting around hoping for a Kerry victory, thinking that he'll get some cushy federal job.
You know when I saw this I thought why can't the Kerry campaign understand basic common sense:
"when you're in a hole stop digging"
A letter from POW MIA families should be hand delivered to Kerry HQ in Boston demanding that he stop ALL Democrat 527 ads!
POW/MIA FAMILY MEMBERS
AGAINST JOHN KERRY
http://www.powmiafamiliesagainstjohnkerry.com/
John Kerry abandoned our husbands, sons, fathers, and brothers in favor of trade and normalization of relations with Vietnam. His actions paved the way for the further abandonment of POWs and MIAs from World War II, the Korean War, and the Cold War.
John Kerry, as chairman of the Senate Select Committee on POW/MIA Affairs, ordered the destruction of committee documents, blocked avenues of investigation, and misrepresented progress on the POW/MIA issue to justify lifting of the trade embargo against Vietnam....
See the article.
The letter is from Bush supporting vets (high profile ones) chastising the Kerry Kamp for harrassing the Bush campaign over this issue and trying to shut up other vets.
They are exercising their own free speech.
Goof Troop.
We don't need no stinkin' letter! We have index fingers...
the US Postmaster General is way to busy purchasing FedEx stock to be messing around in Texas.
Hopefully the letter has a simple, one-word reply. "NUTS!"
He signed the letter back to Kerry:
Jerry Patterson, the Texas state land commissioner and a U.S. Marine who served in 1972-73, is greeting the duo and will be handing back to Cleland and Rassmann a letter for Kerry signed by Reps. Duncan Hunter, chairman of the House Armed Services Committee; Randy "Duke" Cunningham, R-Califwho spent 21 years in the Navy and Sam Johnson, R-Texas, who spent 28 years in the Air Force. Also signing the letter are Robert O'Malley and James Fleming, who both received Medals of Honor for their service in the Marine Corps during Vietnam, retired Lt. Col. Richard Castle and Lt. Gen. Dave Palmer, a former superintendent at West Point. Officials said the two men will be invited into the staff compound at the president's ranch and offered a discussion with Palmer and Patterson.
Did Rassman come along to be Maxie's grenade wrangler?
Uninvited folks met by Bush representative who hands THEM a letter from senate veterans. Quite appropriate w/out President providing them w/a photo op on his PERSONAL property.
LOL
Hey hey, ho ho,
Kerry please sign your 1-8-0!
LOL!! I would only add one thing--"Help yourself!" and set out a bucket of Halloween candy.
The Liberal Curse strikes again...
Why should the President personally respond to an arrogant senator (keeps his own news conference waiting nearly an hour) who sends his surrogates to do 'his dirty work'? To respond otherwise would be acknowledging Kerry for he thinks he is.
