Former Georgia Senator Max Cleland, left, and former Green Beret Lt. Jim Rassmann, center, approach a Secret Service Agent, right, on station at the check point to the entrance of President Bush (news - web sites)'s ranch Wednesday Aug. 25, 2004 in Crawford, Texas. Wait, let me say that again, the cameramen just arrived. Evening news, here I come"

The Kerry campaign says this wasn't a political stunt for theater purpose...

If that's the case, they could've just faxed the letter.

Video of this scene and sympathetic moaning will lead the MSM evening news at 6:30 pm today...they will omit the substance of the letters and not even bother to find out which side is telling the truth. Disgusting move by Kerry, a new low even for him.

So I take it he didn't take the response letter, either?

If I was Bush I would have been standing out there waiting for them to deliver it and then smile and invite them in for coffee. Why you say? Just to tick the Kerry campaign off.

The RNC should have gotten that guy on the Christian Network who had his whole face blown off to give the rebuttal letter to Cleland. Now wouldn't that have been a spectacle?

Looks to me like the SS Agent has the letter in his hand.

Afraid that the President's advisors would insist the President cave in. Agree with the above freeper. This was a publicity stunt. If it wasn't, the jerks could have faxed or snail mailed. This is the best news I've heard all day.

I see that he rolled up his shirt sleeve on one arm extra high to make sure everyone notices his disability.

Make that an ultra-disgusting move for Cleland. I guess he's used to prostituting his self-inflicted catastrophic amputations for votes. I don't have any sympathy for him.

If that's the case, they could've just faxed the letter.

And maybe covered up Cleland a little.

I don't agree. Nobody just shows up at the Presidents doorstep and demand service. Totally disrespectful.

They are indeed that low to use Max as a prop like that. Max is also that low to allow himself to be used like that. NOTHING is beyond them this time!

What do we do about it? Just ask this guy->Freeper N. Theknow says:
"It’s faster than a checkbook, more powerful than a Democratic demagogue, able to lay waste to a liar Kerry with the single click of a mouse. It's a little bird of truth, it's plain to see Kerry's unfit... it's... it's...SuperFReep!

I would have too ... but I wonder if he was in the ranch to accept it?

Probably not, no?

And Kerry and friends probably knew that as well.

My thoughta exactly!!!!!! By not greeting them and inviting them in for a chat they managed to give them a forum to spew their false accusations.. I would have given them a warm "photo-op" welcome..... The old flies to honey routine...
