A dog in Oklahoma City has overcome unbelievable odds for survival.
"Faith" was born with only two legs.
But Faith has taught all those who have come in contact with her that where there's a will, there's a way.
I think she thinks she's a human, I mean look at her walking around. She gets around just as good as we do." But Faith's owners say the one-and-a-half-year-old is just like every other dog.
Jude Stringfellow, Faith's owner, sais, She'll take the food of your table. She acts like any other dogs, any other place. She'll chase a rabbit. She'll chase a duck. She'll chase a cat."
Well, there is one noticeable difference, Faith walks upright.
She was born without her front legs and with little chance of survival.
But the Stringfellow family adopted her, nursed her to health and trained her to hop around.
But it was another family pet who got Faith to walk like a human being.
"We had a corgy puppy that bit her heel and took her toy away, or maybe it was her food. And she just bolted after him, you know, one foot in front of the other."
Faith the wonder dog has made the talk show circuit and the BBC is interested in doing a story on her, too.
Faith also has a chance to make magic on the big screen. The producers of Harry Potter have expressed interest in the lovable pooch.
The though of Faith becoming a movie star is exciting news to Faith's other owner, 15-year-old Laura.
Laura said, Harry Potter people said maybe Faith could fetch a wand or something. She is magical."
And the magic of Faith has taught her owners life lessons they'll never forget.
"I guess I used to be a little bit more prejudice than I thought I was. With handicapped people, maybe I scooted out of their way or ran past them whenever I should not have. I should have been gentle, more caring and more passionate and she's brought that home to me. I seriously see a best friend, a guardian angel, somebody very special."
Nothing new here. Chelsea has been doing it for years.
Honorary cat then. You have to respect any creature who can rise above its physical shell like that.
I'm sure the handicapped would appreciate you being more passionate.
Yeah I was just thinking about that SB email too :)! Homestarrunner has got to be the best online cartoon out there.
Don't insult the noble race of dogs with this comparison.
Dog's know about loyalty and fidelity.
It sure is!.....;^)
Ouch.
You know, you are right. I need to find a thread about snakes alligators cockroaches
Now that I think about it, none of God's creatures is inherently evil or bad. They all serve a purpose. It takes a member of Mankind to demonstrate evil. And the only one worse than the one I posted is it's spouse.
When the dog dies, 10 years after a scientist will dig her up and declare she is 2 million years old and is the missing link.
We have a dog with two legs that plays at the University. This dog however has only a left front and left rear leg. No legs on the right side at all (not even nubs). That dog can run just fine and loves playing fetch and frisbee. Seeing him in an all out sprint is pretty amazing.
I suspose it easy to feel that way, but from the narative alone, it sounds like the dog doesn't know what it's missing, and thinks it's sitation is normal, so why hobble her with a human contraption when its not needed.
God has provided.....
the Will to survive.
I don't suppose you have a pic, please?

My back legs are paralyzed from a bad back and failed surgery, but I get around OK with this homemade cart.
I'm more impressed that you learned to use a computer. :-)
Is that a Slytherin crest on Hillary's robe?
