Don't have time to read all the responses and see if this has been posted: Puzzling Silver Star Citations has all three one one page.

The typewriter comparison may be even simpler than that. If the Navy was using all IBM Selectrics in 1968, and Kerry's "source documents" were typed on a Smith Corona or Royal, for example, he will have some explainging to do.

Indeed. Though since Selectrics were rather heavy (and of course required electricity), I would expect some people in the field would have lightweight portables. But brand-matching could be interesting.

BTW, has anyone else noticed that the Lehman citations were clearly not done on a conventional typewriter? I wonder if that fact could help date them?

The two Lehman citations on Kerry's web sites bear signatures that are absolutely identical to each other (superimpose one on the other and they fit perfectly).

Thank you!!!!!!!

Kerry is saying stay away from:

1. My FBI files
2. My Navy records
3. My Senate record
4. Whatever I have said in the past to curry votes and $'s.
5. Just stay away from my past.

6. My wife's tax returns
7. My wife's estate planning and charitable foundations

" Thanks for reposting Jim's Thread.

Would you please post the link to Jim's thread on this thread. Thanks."

I don't know what I do wrong, but, my FR links never work.

If the link is a dud, the title of the thread was :

"Flashback: 1996 - The Boston Globe: The making of the candidates: JOHN FORBES KERRY
The Boston Globe ^ | October 6, 1996 | By Charles Sennott, Globe Staff
Posted on 08/27/2004 10:07:25 PM PDT by Jim Robinson

There's one sentence in the article which gets missed by quickly scanning the long piece.
But, it jumped out at me-especially since it validates what the SBVFT said about Kerry and the Zippo.
Kerry shows the Globe reporter his Vietnam home movies and Sennott wrote:
" ... the film showed soldiers dousing gasoline on huts in a small village before setting them on fire."
Kerry talks to the reporter about the sickly sweet smell of the burning wood.
Another scene from Kerry's home movie :
" There is Kerry in cutoff shorts working on his suntan next to a Viet Cong prisoner bound and blindfolded."
I'm sure Kerry had a lot to say about Abu Grhaib.

PURPLE HEART #3
Confirmation Letter - not a Citation.
Date (stamp) 17 April 1969
Injuries 13 March 1969
..."Gold Star in lieu of a third Purple Heart..."
/s/ (stamp) Donald A. Still, Chief Staff Officer

He was already back in the US of A. on 17 April. Did he get his ticket to the real world before he got his medal? Then we know he got kicked out.

I am surprised about who is coming up to me to tell me all about the Swiftvets.

People who have never talked politics to me before.

Thank you, and thank you to everyone who has commented.

I know the reelection of President Bush is important to everyone here, but it is especially important to me and the Marines who I serve with. Should Kerry win we will be compelled to follow the orders of a man with a questionable conscious, dubious character and a penchant for selling out those around him for personal gain. I cannot stand around idly and take that chance. This is my small contribution to the effort; if it helps in any way to defeat Kerry, then I am glad to be of assistance. I'll continue lurking about and helping where I can.

Best regards to all.

??!!

Don't officials need to approve documents for signing by autopen?

Is John Lehman the same person who was on the 9/11 panel with Jamie Gore-lick???

Maybe it is kinda like The Medallion Stamp, it depends on the individual who has been issued the stamp or has control over its use.

Money and/or sweet talk can sometime override honesty and/or wisdom!

Again thanks for your past, current and future service to America and Americans.

I can't of anything worse than to serve under the Clintoon or Kerry.

We need to make sure to keep GW as our President and CIC.

Our current active duty military may be the best that we have ever had, and that is what we need in the WOT. Lets return GW and give you and other active duty warriors more support and more of what it takes to get your job done.

We welcome you as a positive contributor to Free Republic.
