Just damn.
If you want on the list, FReepmail me. This IS a high-volume PING list...
Obviously Bush's fault.
Even though it was under 50F when I woke up this morning, this is one time that I'm really really glad I live in Wisconsin.
We are here on the Gulf Coast. It sure has been an active hurricane season this year!
Good grief.............
I sthis global warming????????
I question the timing of this hurricane.

Sheesh.........if that thing takes a slightly westward tilt the mid aTlantic is in for a bumpy ride tomorrow night.
We're gonna have to deal with what's left of Gaston AND this bitch tomorrow??? Dude. I am SOOO glad I did my grocery shopping today. I am NOT leaving my house (VA Beach) tomorrow that's all there is to it.
Heh, Teresa is on the 2009 Atlantic roster (and Terry in the East Pacific that same year):

In any case, this, unlike the previous storms, is not forecast to hit the U.S., at least before it's drawn into Gaston's circulation around Tuesday. But I can't wait until Ivan forms. :p Stay safe, everybody.
I looks like there is another disturbance to the s.e. of Herimine...give it a couple of days and I bet it organizes into a T.S.
Kinda hope it tilts ever so westward, just enough so it rains like hell on those protestors.
ha! I was looking at Gaston the other day and saw what looked to be the beginning of some circulation out there. Guess it was Hermine.
And what the hell is up with these names this year?
I believe this sets the record for named storms in August with this as the eighth storm of the month.
NHC discussion:
The cyclone is moving toward the northwest about 9 knots around the
periphery of a subtropical ridge. A gradual turn to the north is
expected and...by 48 hours...the cyclone should have merged with the
much larger circulation associated with Gaston.
The forecast track and wind radii keeps the cyclone away from the
U.S East Coast. Therefore...no tropical storm watches or warning are
necessary at this time.
Thanks for the ping.
