GOP platform pushes amnesty

If there are any deluded souls out there who still believe George W. Bush is a conservative, I invite them to examine the 2004 Republican Party platform on the issue of amnesty for illegal immigrants.

Bush is for it. That makes him a liberal. Worse, he proclaims that the amnesty is not an amnesty. So he is not only a liberal, but a liar as well.

I think Bush just threw away all votes he might have gotten in the border region --- these few votes he's hoping to get from illegals are costing the taxpayers of the region an awful lot of money and the economy is already very poor.

This is the headlines we woke up to ---

Tax bills explode

The average El Paso homeowner will have to shell out hundreds of dollars in additional property taxes this year under tax rates set or proposed by local governments.

Just after the Friday headlines:

Poverty rate in El Paso continues to increase

Darren Meritz
El Paso Times
El Paso's economy for the past few years hasn't been easy on 47-year-old Luis Velazquez, who lost his job at a bar about a year ago and has since turned to employing himself in furniture restoration.

His story of unemployment is not unlike many others in El Paso, which continues to rank near the very bottom in key socioeconomic measurements compared with other communities in the United States, according to U.S. census statistics released Thursday.

The FY 2004 apprehension total for Arizona probably reached 543,000 sometime last night.

The Border Patrol agents still say they can only catch about 20%. I believe them; they do not have the manpower or logistics to do any better.

So, sure, they caught 543,000 -- while well over 2,000,000 got past them scot free. If you really want to get torqued, add the figures from Calfornia, Texas, and New Mexico. That punches it up to 4,000,000 that hit the home run so far this year.

But, but, but that can't be. He's just not industrious enough. He hasn't taken out enough loans to better himself. He hasn't tried for more loans to start more businesses. Something, anything but economic woes.

it *clearly* shows that it only applies to *legal* workers:

Are American born citizens considered •Legal• workers? Nope guess not looks like it only applies to people who have or are working in Mexico.

Now that there is funny, no matter who you are.

Can you give me any insight why normal Illegal Immigrant threads regularly earn 100-200 posts from a large group of breathlessly motivated victim contributors - but the Randy Graf for U.S. Rep threads get 20 or so responses?

One would think that a concerted Freeper effort behind Randy Graf, anchored by the hundreds of regularly illegal-immigration and RINO victimized Freepers infesting every thread every night here, would deliver this fine man into office over the guy who has SO WRONGED his constituents and SO BETRAYED our soverignity all these years. Man, the Graf juggernaut was presented ... and poof ... went away. How? Why? I ... just ... don't ... understand?

Oh, I just got it, let me help if I may. Is it because any FR movement supporting Randy Graf against a long villified Cochise County victimizer, RINO, traitor and "F*g" has ... ugh ... INVESTMENT REQUIREMENTS and CONSEQUENCES of SUCCESS? Holy shit, could getting someone actually elected have an obligation for contributive action, financial support, pragmatic compromise and building party alliances and making accomodations necessary for electoral success!

Hell yes. That's a risk the "FED UP WITH BUSH AND THE GOP" black belts in "Dipshitsu" on FR are not willing to take. 'Tis far better to have big mouths absent the obligation to do anything than to put your time, money and investment of credibility around this forum in a guy we all know has no plan, no credibility, and no chance. Pfft, are you crazy? Janetgreen, Joe Hadenuf and the rest of the FR "Island of Dr. Moreau" gang scoff at RINOs like Randy Graf. They're part of the problem ... they exist in the real world. Because if they have a chance of getting elected, there must be something RINO-like wrong with them. Damn straight. Traitors, RINOs and Bush oh my.

What a joke. When Kolbe kicks the crap out of Graf, you guys will be here blaming the "GOP establishment" when you haven't done a DAMN THING to help his efforts and address your hellish circumstances through proactive support campaigns on this forum.

"Shucks, Sheriff, bein' a victim of them illegals is easy as pie, solvin' the problem is complicated like!"

Oh, one more thing. I downloaded all the budget/expenditure information from your county the past four years, and I'm hard pressed to identify the onerous "Illegals" financial services burden you and your pals have spammed relentlessly around here.

So, what's the story on Saint Graf Jack? And why has your county UNDERSPENT it's budgeted numbers in 2001, 2002 and 2003? $120 million budgeted, $100 million spent. What's going on in Cochise County, Marshall Earp? Besides gracelessly aging and economically dislocated 50 something men fantasizing about rustlin' up a posse and chasing Mexicani outlaws with 1885 "pre-Asa" impunity?

If the Republicans are going to merge our nationhood into some sort of continental, or hemisheperic political union, maybe they should tell us...

I think they have told us, they want an Americas trade zone and a single currency. We should not seem so shocked the globalists have been pretty open about their plans.

It was the "Is A Terrorist Army Massing In The U.S." and Jim Robinson was on it too and making comments, LOL.

It developed into a Border issue thread and became quite long. Most people along the border are unhappy about it being so open and nothing being done.

We have a WAR TO WIN.

Well we didn't get any help from Mexico on this war --- American citizens are to go to Iraq and die and meanwhile any jobs they could have had will be given to foreign citizens who are not expected to fight that war.

Over 200 post for a crap thread. Well done.

Protected by both parties.

Sad but true. GWB needs to wake up and see that these illegals will mostly vote democratic if given the chance.

BTW. Our grass gets cut by my son or myself. Wouldn't have it any other way.

We shall see.

Under Karl Rove's own admission, several million of the regular GOP base stayed home in 2000.

There is no poltical reason to stop illegal immigration.

Both the GOP and Dems want it.

It's not going to stop, until the voters rise up and stop it themselves.

And seem mighty proud of the fact that they almost handed this country over to Al Gore!

Do you think 9-11 wouldn't have happened if Gore was president?

It's not a matter of semantics, it is important that we draw a line separating the two issues.

Immigration can be discussed and laws adjusted or even enacted to impact it as need be.

How to stop the influx of illegal immigrants, and how to track and deport visa over stayers is a whole different topic.

It would be "nice" to see Bush lose AZ over illegal aliens--as long as he wins the election. Perhaps it would wake someone up (hoping against hope).

I don't have a candidate, I am not a political party.

The GOP candidate is Bush, the Democrat candidate is Kerry.

You are in here complaining that neither major Party candidate is good enough, so tell me who you are supporting in this coming election.
