hehe...my neighbor guy and his family are primary spanish speakers, his english is not so good, but he tries his best.

I tell him it's fine.
He didn't have a lot of time to study english growing up, as he had to escape from Castro's Cuba on a boat just to get to America.

He wanted to raise his kids in a free nation.

He works two jobs so his wife can stay home with the kids, he said he would love to see one of his sons grow up to be a doctor and the other to be an American soldier. That way when Castro is overthrown, (he's still waiting...hehe) the whole family can go to Free Cuba and help the people.

Yeah, who needs these damn spanish speakers...(sarcasm)

Bob Schieffer of CBS said the speech was too long.

He also said that Bush's speech did not lay out his bold visions for a 2nd term as he had been expected to.

Honestly, I only caught the last 15 minutes of the speech so I can't say if I agree or disagree with Schieffer's comments.

Schieffer wasn't listening too close; a heap of interruptions will stretch out a speech (something Lurch doesn't know about). As for the vision thing, permanent tax cuts, tort reform, tax code reform only touch it.

Now they are covering Kerry. he is saying "all hat and no cattle"...in reference to GWB speech.

"RNC=really not compassionate".......He is probably drunk. This will not play well!

'If you feel you are better of, go vote for George Bush.'

Watch. An inventive candidate would find a way to pivot after the speech. Kerry may just give the speech as written.

Dumb.

Watch the hands! HILARIOUS!!! But what he's saying is so hokey. If those people weren't getting paid to be there, I bet they'd ask, "What the heck are we doing here?".

and Kerry didn't even watch the speech!!!!

Yes, he's drumk or on something...his eyes look wierd. But do watch those moving, emotional hands.

***Can someone tell me why he didn't have a prepared remark for a friggin' protester???***

When Clinton was heckled, he said, (paraphrased) "That's the trouble with this country. Anyone can say anything they want."

George W. Bush knows better than to even acknowledge a heckler.

I guess Kerry was worried there would not be a big enough bounce for the President and decided on his midnight speech to assure a bigger bounce?
