I'm glad you watched it again. Evidence of openmindedness. I am not gaga over polling results, but recent polls would seem to indicate that there was something in the speech that got to at least a few of those who couldn't figure out which way to jump. I hope the dims keep misunderestimating W. :)

I believe those polls were taken before W's speech. I am almost inclined to believe the LA Times hyped the polls a bit so that the deflation in later polls would seem more severe. In know, tin foil hat stuff. But, the LA Times poll seems a bit high.

I hope the dims keep misunderestimating W. :)

So do I :o)

Not so tin foil hat at all. I have no doubt they would try to manipulate public opinion. Did you, for example, see the AP story about people booing at a rally when the president mentioned Clinton's hospitalization? If it isn't close, they can't steal it!!!!

Yes. That's like the Reuters editor who sent a nasty e-mail to a pro-life group. Blatant bias.

If it isn't close, they can't steal it!!!!

Exactly.

Correction: The poll I was thinking of is not from the LA TIMES. It's actually a TIME poll (TIME magazine). Sorry about that.

"The poll I was thinking of is not from the LA TIMES"

Your point is still valid nonetheless.
